Horrible Taste

I was in my local B&M today and I saw a origin rda on clearance for a good deal and decided to pick it up since it was cheap and has a deep well on it. Put a small pillow of cotton in the well and built a dual coil 24g hybrid wire ohmed out at .35 and wicked it.

Dropped my favorite juice in it and bam! Taste like crap. I dont know if I need to drill it out for more air or what. Can you screw up a coil build and make it taste bad? Never had a problem with my other toppers running .2 .
Any ideas or suggestions or if ya need more info whatever would be greatly appreciated

I tore it down and rebuilt it again. I think on the bottom on the coil may have been a hot spot or something. Seems fine now. Just odd. One of those things I guess
