You ladies really have me scared. I gotta talk to my Dr, if I'm going through peri-menopause. I already have a "passionate" personality with normal hormones, and really don't want to go into flying raging lunatic. I don't think I am yet,(but really how can an italian like me tell?) I just don't want to go down that road. Hot flashes, itchy dry skin, just put me into a coma until I come out the other side please.

LOL... I short sheet my side of the bed to keep my feet uncovered :) and keep pillow cases in the freezer

I dont have too many during the day (yet) but in the evening and at night I have my own Personal Summers complete with the pore cleansing puddle of sweat.

Soooo, my itchy skin is attributed to the hormones????? I been thinking it was just the summertime weather!!!!

(I am relatively new to the hormonal switch... had an ovary removed late last fall and the other ovary doesnt seem to want to compensate)

Ice cream....ice motels......cold showers.....frozen pillow cases. Thanks for the tips.....I am headed around that corner very soon. I already have the night sweats, I blame that on DH...he turns the AC up at night  I sleep with a fan directly on me and have the ceiling fan on. If he would wake up like that in the middle of the night I bet he would turn the AC down!

I feel your pain. We're having a terrible spring and not a lot of warmweather yet. My husband freezes here, wlile I have two fans going and the window open.

My brother in law was telling me my sister finally warmed up in her old age, but now he was the one who was always cold. Now he wore the sweats around the house and she the shorts and tank top :)

Night sweats, hot flashes...not anymore. I guess you gals haven't tried Phybo B. I didn't have night sweats but I was starting to have hot flashes or what I called warm flushes. I didn't like the way they kept waking me up at night. I'd get too warm, throw the covers off, get too cold, pull the covers back, etc....so I was talking to my physical therapist about this and she pointed me to Phybo B. Being a skeptic about all natural products and all the claims they make, I was a bit hesitate to try it. But I did and it works. I haven't had a warm flush since 2 wks after trying it. I told a friend and my sister about it and they tried it and their night sweats & hot flashes disappeared. It might not work for everyone but it's worth a try. Here's were I get mine.
