 Ok, the title at least got your attention

The learning curve, a little help to solve my problem and/or just help with what combinations of equipment you use.

Yes , hot lips. Tonights vape, reg. size auto battery, cool cart blank self filled with watermelon. The tip of the carto got way to hot with the manual battery, also the vape way to hot. The heat ruined the taste. So even with the auto battery, still a bit to hot of a tip on the carto. Would you solve the problem with just putting a drip tip on or do you have another solution? Is the power in a manual battery more than auto, or is just the switch activation that effecting me?

This whole hot lips thing takes me back to my youth, let a friend take a puff of your analog cig. They would puff so much and hard the filter would be hot as heck :vapor:.

The Adventure Continues
Take care.

I can't even begin to tell you how awesome drip tips are. Honestly, since I got enough, I never use the white caps anymore, except when cartos aren't in use. To vape, drip tips 100% of the time. I don't notice the heat anymore, the hits are better, and it's just comfortable. Not to mention how much easier it is to get into the carto for refilling, or even just to inspect the filling.

Short answer: Go drip tip

ive never had a carto get too hot to handle...but i vape like 3 batterires and different cartos at once...mixing them up randomly...anyhow, as other have said, the drip tips are quite awesome...i only have the one aluminum one but its very nice, the delrin ones apparently dont transfer the heat like the metal ones do so you might want to go that route...

wow youre brave ...youre in a v4life subforum !

Is it wrong to post a link to something that V4L don't stock and are therefore not in direct competition with for that item?

Personally I don't understand why people's cartos are getting so hot. I use auto shorty diamond batts and wow carts. If I do get the occasional cart that gets hot, I throw it out. 98% of my carts do not get hot. And yes, I do chain vape.

Is there a particular way of vaping that produces this problem? If so, maybe a change of technique may cure it without the need for more paraphernalia?

ahhh personally i dont do it .I would pm the person .I wouldnt go into another specific vendor forum and post for v4life ..but thats just me .....this is more accepted in the main forum ..its just that if v4life is paying for this vendor forum i woudlnt feel good about it .

I buy roughly 99% of everything from v4l myself. I do have to admit that I just ordered some a couple of atty's, cartridges, and some 6ml empty dropper bottles from another vendor. But like you said, those are products that v4l simply doesn't sell. I'm torn on this issue. I've sided on the "that would be disrespectful to the owners of the subforum" side, but it would be nice to have a way to ask this great family about products not offered by v4l

Welcome to the forum Photogame! It's always nice to meet a new member! :) Also, welcome to the Wonderful World of Vaping! :)

The Hot Carto issue is one that I have recently gone through and cured quite easily. :) I simply ordered a Drip Tip from V4L. My first drip tip was an alumiminum one. It did a great job of keeping my lips cooler, but it still gets a little bit hot. So I took the advice of Snowdragon and I ordered a Delrin Drip Tip from V4L.

The difference between the Aluminum Drip Tip and the Delrin Drip Tip is like Night and Day! The Delrin Drip Tip stays absolutely Cool! It is also much smoother feeling on the lips and it doesn't have the aluminum taste to it. I absolutely Love my new Delrin Drip Tip! Thank you Snow Dragon for giving me the advice about buying one and also Thank you V4L for selling such Great Products!
