hotter than selected vape

I have a battery that I set at 8.8 watts that worked great for two moths. Then bang - felt like I was vaping 20 watts but it was still on 8.8. Took the battery out left a whike then tried again. Same thing. 8.8 for a while then felt like 20. Is my unit malfunctioning? Thanks

Cote, it's difficult to answer your question when we don't even know what setup you're using. What kind of PV? What kind of battery? Something is malfunctioning, but we don't have enough information to diagnose the problem. Maybe you'd be better off asking your question in a general forum where other members can ask you questions and troubleshoot with you.
