Well I just caught up on 20+ pages in this thread and I wanted to say a couple things.

Seriously though... Happy Belated Birthday Zen!!!! and did I miss the pictures of all the little Zen's all lined up waiting for completion....was really wanting to drool over it.

Yes, a dry burn will literally just knock it off. That is what I do with mine all the time all the time. The gunk turns to ash and falls off. I typically get it good and hot then dunk it in a shot glass full of water. That really blasts the gunk right off, I do it 2 or 3 times and then the mesh and the coil are perfectly clean again. I then fill it back up and vape as usual

so I am guessing with these types of attys, that you do not run the risk of killing the coil in the same way you can with a traditional coil atty? I have dry-burned and killed them before.
I know I can just replace it, which is what I will probably do, I am just fascinated by this method.
These coils are made from Kanthal which has a higher burn temp then nichrome and these are also a 32awg whereas most cartos are a 38awg which is thinner and has a higher resistance factor and burn out easier. Someone please correct me if I am wrong here.

Yep. Forget everything you know about atomizer performance. A SS wick & Kanthal coil just works. Like I said, I generally just replace my coil when it gets gunky, but I have dry burned when changing flavors with no issues. I can also say in the 2 months I've been using genisis atty's I've never had a coil pop from a dry burn. Zen's method of dry burn & refill will work perfectly.
Marchers may start shipping ever so slightly sooner... Payment requests will go out when your PV is done and ready to ship... I Call this "stress management"!
Correct... but by that I mean March PVs... Z-attys still have some parts that are not in yet. The LVM parts are here... the connector parts are coming from a local machine shop.
I should have PVs in stock again by the end of April.

I'm currently getting over a month... I recently spoke with somebody that has been using their Gen1Zen that was purchased at Vapercon, and they are STILL on the first coil and mesh I put on it when they purchased it... and they vape it daily.
Ok now you guys are making me drool !! cant wait to get away from attys and cartos. So glad I signed up for zen U's as well

Zen - Don't sweat us pre-pays! I've never prepaid for a PV but I feel like the Zenesis is well worth it.
I'm so sick of buying commercial atomizers I'm going crazy. I absolutely HATE commercial atomizers and I've tried almost all of them. They are the bain of vaping and the largest source of frustation for me in my life. LOL I have clean and dry burn daily to get a good vaping experience....it's really, really annoying, not to mention, expensive. March is just around the corner and I'm excited about my Zenesis!

That is fantastic. So a years worth ss pre rolled wick for 8 dollars and 50feet of kanthal wire for 5 dollars. So for about a buck a month i never have to buy expensive attys agin. HOW SWEET IT IS. Thanks Zen
