The 357, as much as I hate saying it, is by far the best thread-on disposable atty I have ever used. It is, however, oppressively expensive, hard to acquire and better than the IKV306. The 306 is an exceptional atty as well, but after using the 357, knowing that I'm missing performance seems less than adequate. It's funny... it was MORE than adequate before the 357 came along.

MCAs are better, though... and once the initial price has settled, they are inexpensive to maintain, but Rio owners just don't have the opportunity to experience it in the way they would like.

And that, good sir, is why I long to be a Zenesis owner.

how do I get one of these wounderful creations?

You send me a PM asking me to add you to the pre order list. Make sure you tell me model you want. And when the time comes to pay, about a week before it ships, be a food person and pay for what you ordered... It's pretty easy, actually!

Believe me when I tell you... There are no more 2011 Limited PVs, and I could have easily sold at least 20.

Every November I'm going to release a Limited for that year, and each year will be a different design. They will be VERY limited in quantity... and when I post that the list is going live, the first people on the list will get them, so keep your eyes open for the announcement because you never know when I'm going to post it! (it won't be right away though...)

Earlier in the thread, there was a request for a Picture of the Mini...

Here you go! (out of focus and everything!)

photo-24.jpg

The mini looks so sweet. I had To put my name on the list.

Does the polycarbonate tank On the zenesis contain bpa?

Just curious about bpa

You replyed to my #260 post about the precut pyrex tanks. Is there any updates?

Of course it contains BPA... You can't make true Polycarbonate without it.

Do a quick search on Polycarbonate BPA health risk... you will find:

"Bisphenol A (BPA) is a key building block of polycarbonate plastic. In recent years a number of researchers from government agencies, academia and industry worldwide have studied the potential for low levels of BPA to migrate from polycarbonate products into foods and beverages. These studies consistently show that the potential migration of BPA into food is extremely low, generally less than 5 parts per billion, under conditions typical for uses of polycarbonate products.

Using these results, the estimated dietary intake of BPA from polycarbonate is less than 0.0000125 milligrams per kilogram body weight per day. This level is more than 4000 times lower than the maximum acceptable or "reference" dose for BPA of 0.05 milligrams per kilogram body weight per day established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Stated another way, an average adult consumer would have to ingest more than 600 kilograms (about 1,300 pounds) of food and beverages in contact with polycarbonate every day for an entire lifetime to exceed the level of BPA that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has set as safe."

Based on that, I'm more worried about having a ton of it fall on me than ingesting a lethal amount from 5Ml in contact with a tank.

I dunno Lorderos, kinda looks like it's already starting to melt the bottom of the bottle - or maybe that's hot glue . . . I'd certainly be skittish about the amount of heat passing through that flimsy plastic topper! Fun to look at nonetheless! "I give you - the 'gettogenesis'!!" :) - carry on.

OH FOLKS IT'S TIME TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT THERE ARE THREE DAYS LEFT TO PRE ORDER A MINI OR A STANDARD FOR MID FEBRUARY DELIVERY AT THE LOWER PRICES.

All orders placed on these two PVs AFTER 1/15/2012 will be at the higher prices of $225.00 for the Mini and $240.00 for the standard and they will be delivered MID MARCH.

There is no change in the Z-atty Prices and the delivery is still set for Mid March on those. Z-Atty Preorders for Mid March delivery MUST be in by 2/12/2012... after that... same price but Mid April delivery.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled program... over and out... end of transmission.

Backing up the truck, cuz I'm late to the party yet again ....

Hubby helped me purchase the PoorVari (LavaTube) so that I can use up the almost dead attys laying around the house going to waste. It's good to know that I now have the option of upping the volts without having to use stacked batts in my SB. For me, it made sense to invest in an affordable VV. Now he is hyped up about the Zenesis, with it's rebuildable attys and of course with it's clean mechanical features. Will I need the kick? I don't think I'll need the Kick with it. Will I kick myself if I don't get the Kick? For me, the main attraction to owning a Kick is the fact that it should guard against those not-so-brainy days when I put on the wrong atty or don't remember which ohm the atty is. Should I include a Kick in my arsenal? I want to keep it simple... and sometimes I am confused as to which way is the simple way. help.

In short... no... you don't need a kick.

You can put a kick in the Standard... but it's hard to tell you that you "need" something that isn't even on the market yet, while people are using the Zenesis without even wishing they had a kick to put in it.

Hope this helps.

The funny thing about that picture... Below you will find a picture of the FIRST proof of concept model for the Zenesis PV...

zenesis.jpg

And here is a link to a movie of it in action... http://www.gumptiondepot.com/zenesis.mov

This was made of a battery, a chunk of a Priority mail box, a couple paper clips, a 10ml juice bottle, and SS mesh and Kanthal...

Here's the post you should read. It explains everything you need to know about the Zenesis Atty and was posted by UA72Riddle:

First...YES you can handle this mod. It is very easy with practice....even if you have never vaped before. I started using Genisis attys after only two months of vaping...and now it's all I use. There is a slight learning curve....but if you watch videos, research vey little, and ask when unsure.....you will have it down with in a couple of attempts.

As for TH.....there are a few things that come in to play. First...your juice...starting with the nic content of the juice. Then you have to figure in the ingredients used in that juice. THIS part you can compensate for with your coils....if it hits too hard, add a wrap and cool it off.
Second part of TH has to do with airflow. The more airflow...the cooler the vapor because you are cooling the coil faster. Less airflow, stronger TH....less vapor. Airflow is a crucial factor to a properly functioning Genisis atty....no matter who it is made by.

As for the coil....this is the part that makes the Genisis so amazing! Wrapping your own coil allows you to get the vape the way you like it EVERY time...no matter what type of batter or mod you are using (because we all know they are not all created equal ). You have different types of resistance wire, but the majority has found that A1 Kanthal works best. It can be found on eBay for very cheap. Most of us use 32AWG (.20 mm) for the lower resistance. This let's you have more wraps, but still achieve a LR coil. 34AWG (.16 mm) has higher resistance per meter...so it takes less coils to achieve higher ohms.

So let me simplify that...
3-4 wraps of 32g Kanthal will be between 1.4-1.7 ohm
3-4 wraps of 34g Kanthal will be between 2.0-2.4 ohm
More wraps...higher resistance....cooler vapor
Less wraps....lower resistance.....warmer vapor

Bottom line is this....

Everyone has to start somewhere....so why not here. Complete control of your vape....absolute consistency each and every time. And the best part....a LARGE community of fellow Vapers willing to help you through it every step of the way. You can not go wrong with this mod.

AND...
Added by me...to adjust the throat hit you rotate the top cap of the Zenesis. You rotate away from or toward the coils to adjust the TH to where you like it best. Also, be sure to watch Zen's~ excellent video on how to build the Zenesis Atty. I'm pretty sure it's on page one of this thread.

You might want to read this entire thread too. There have been a ton of great questions and answers along the way. You'll find a lot of info about the Zenesis here.
