Since we're on the subject of kicks, here is some advice that may be helpful to those who plan to install the kick.
There were some folks at VC that said their kicks wouldn't fit. The kick will fit, even if you have to shove it in. Just be careful and try to keep it even. If you need to remove it, DO NOT grab it by the potentiometer. Grab it by the positive post with a pair of needle nose pliers. And don't just yank it out. I lost a couple of posts doing this. Get a tight hold on the positive post and turn it as though you're unscrewing it. Do this slow and gentle. Not only will it save your positive post, it will also prevent mangling the ground spring.
Also, for those that are getting leaks from the bottom o-ring from the sidewinder tank, you can try an o-ring that has a 9/16" ID and a 11/16" OD. That sealed mine right up. It leaks a small amount right after the initial assembly and fill but it quickly seats and swells afterwards. The actual size of this o-ring is a # 015. I picked mine up at Lowe's in the piping section. They had it labeled as a #35. Is the Lowe's version a buna food safe o-ring? Probably not but I really don't care. It works just fine for me so far.
