I wish I had my miniZen...but I don't so here is my orion which is basically the same TYPE of setup...but not a Zen!

I have no doubt my miniZen will work even better!

Okay, did the fire trick and I've hit it about 5 times without tilting it. I'll keep on tonight and see how it goes but that's the most hits I've got without tilting so far!!!

also in regards to wick height and the post. just above? just below? even?

does this effect anything?

The wick should be even with or just a little below the post height. If it's taller, you risk having it hit the cap inside (and create a short).

There have been Alot of great modders that were doing great things for the vaping community that have been banned. I am not getting to why they got banned or if it was justified.

Hi, everyone who is not in Chicago (like me),

Thought I'd provide a gratuitous update on my personal progress with my new Mini. I only feel comfortable doing this now because little of substance is likely to occur while everyone is off in the MidWest drinking and vaping, anyway. I mean, I'm not interrupting anything important, hopefully.

I ..... opened the envelope. Gasp. I extracted the gorgeous carbon-fiber-like case that contains my (gasp) Mini. I ..... unzipped the case and began to explore. I am #54 Mini. It has no meaning but I like the number, for no reason at all. I have taken off the top cap and examined my Zen (gasp) created wick and coil. I unscrewed the bottom tube and (gasp) admired the smooth threading. I have tried out and found my top three (gasp) most beautifully matching drip tips. I've been changing them up about every hour and a half.

Guess I should confess - this is my very first mod. I've been studying at Battery University and other U-Tube videos to learn how to use my first brand new multimeter on my first four rechargeable batteries - AW 18350 IMR's, natch. I am intimidated. I stare in admiration at my new, untried device any time I am not doing something else, all the while inhaling the variety of increasingly unsatisfying cartomizers that sit atop my Kgo.

I am off work come Monday and Tuesday and have cleared my schedule completely. I will begin to unravel the magic of my Zenesis then and won't stop until I get it. Or until I have to go back to work Wednesday.

A personal support message to ob - don't let the frustration get you down, my support group leader. I can do this - I just know I can. And if I can, you can. Hell, if I can, anybody can....

As he's been telling me for 2 days... Just vape it, I ask, "is this a short?" he says "stopp messing and vape it!". I would have made it much more complicated if I got it alone, but with the man saying just vape it, I have to listen and it has worked

Ob...how many wraps do you have right now? And when you are taking a drag...are you tilting the mod so the juice is sitting towards the top? (hope that makes sense)

Reason I am asking is this....

Think of it like backwash...if the liquid runs up the wick (if you are tilting it like taking a drink...the draw will also pull more liquid in the wick) and your coil isn't warm enough to burn off what is there...it will flow back in to the tank. It will change colors because it is burning...but not evaporating..and therefor will change the color of the liquid in your tank.

So how do you fix this? Cause I'm having the same problem.

I would suggest a 3 wrap coil. Will be a warm vape, but most importantly it will me a hot enough coil to actually vaporize the juice on the wick.
