This is general advice and things I have been saying for months......
Stay away from the classifieds and/or private sellers.
If you want a PV,
buy it from a reputable retailer.
If it's not currently available from a retailer, wait for it.
If you throw caution to the winds and
buy something from the classys, or an individual party, be aware of the risks you are taking. There are a lot of profiteers making big bucks on APVs that are not readily available. If you wish to purchase from someone that is not a retailer, then do so at your own risk. There have been a few people who have received APVs that are not in the same condition as the ones purchased from a reputable dealer. Also consider the fact that you would have recourse from the seller in that event, and that same recourse would not be available if you purchased the item from somewhere/someone who was not a retailer.
If you decide that, for you, purchasing from somewhere other than a retailer is what you want to do, we don't want to hear about how you got took, paid more than retail, received a damaged item, or are otherwise dissatisfied with the transaction. Don't piss and moan after you did something we, and you, knew you shouldn't have.......
If you think I am saying all this from the standpoint of already having multiple
devices, go right ahead and think that. I'm not going to apologize for my Zens. I was in the right place at the right time......as I am sure you, yourself, have been for some other item that later turned out to be the cat's pajamas........LOL
I don't sell in the classys or privately because I become attached to my 'things' and don't sell them. I may give something away, but I won't sell it.
I don't buy in the classys or privately because I prefer my 'things' to be new and purchased from a reputable retailer.
You are all certainly entitled to do as you wish, as am I. I won't tell you about my mistakes if you don't tell us about yours.
As always, just my own opinions............
And, for me, it's the same as having a yard sale...too much bother to sell, so I've ended up giving quite a few things to others who might not have the ability to get them on their own.
