When you buy a 10ml bottle of 12 mg nicotine, how much nicotine is in the bottle? I know the answer isn't 12 mg because you can get 30/50/100 ml bottles of 12 mg. So, when it says 12mg, how many milliliters contain 12 mg?

12mg would be 1.2% nictotine. When vendors say Xmg nictotine juice it is Xmg per 1 ml of liquid.
30ml bottle @ 12mg/ml = 360mg of nicotine.
Understand though, you do not absorb all of that nicotine when you inhale the vapor. The particles in the vapor are too large to reach the ends of your lungs, when you exhale through the nose you can absorb more nicotine that way, but again you don't absorb everything. Your body is not 100% efficient as everybody else is not.

The 12mg tag actually means 12mg/ml (12 milligrams per milliliter). This is a weight-to-volume measure so it's easy to find how much nicotine (by weight) is contained in any given bottle size. Thus a 10ml bottle of 12mg liquid would contain 120mg of nicotine, a 50ml bottle would contain 600mg. Hope this helps.
