... and then you woke up, nice dream I wish it were true.

Sadly, many people have been tricked into believing this.
If truly believe this then they have won. Give up and beg for their mercy, because according to you all is lost.

I'm much older than many members here.
I'm not so easily fooled into giving up when told to do so.

Don't vote, don't get involved, sign petitions and rant amongst yourselves about how the government you
refuse to get involved with, won't recognize your cause.

Yeah You guys better stock up.
You can't win this fight.
You've beaten yourself.

As I always told my son... "can't never could... because can't didn't even TRY!"

The political part of this issue can't be won. We have to beg for concessions. Unfortunately, there's a heck of a lot more people against ecig use or totally indifferent to it than there are proponents. Politicians have nothing to lose and more to gain by tightening the noose of our world this go around. I'm not optimistic. However, whatever happens with the FDA regs, it will likely get better down the line and not worse. Should be ripe for deregulation unless someone can actually prove real harm. The tax part is going to suck no matter which way things shake out this year or any future year.

I don't see it that way. Participating in the sham that is politics, that's begging for mercy. It's acknowledging that SOMEONE has the authority to dictate how you live, leaving only the question of WHO will be your master and how tight they make the chains.

Excellent post, I concur and wish that I had said that.

Plan A...

Stock up and fight like hell.

Plan B...

Use said stock and fight like hell.

;)

ETA: Methinks both plans are viable and inevitable at this point. Seems many of the informed agree.

Tapatyped

plan c:the government will deem your stockpile excessive and as such bring it to the nearest drop off center to comply.

The real subject, as I see it, is that NO ONE has the right to tell me what I can, and cannot do with MY OWN body. This issue will never be examined openly in our current state. By yielding the rights of some members of society, the actual loss is just now being realized by those unaffected by previous prohibitions ( we are not there yet with vaping, but a possibility is there). As for fighting it, sure, I'll try, I have written the e-mails and filed the public comments. As for fight first, stockpile later...if a storm is coming, isn't it much better to have some necessities on hand before the aisles are picked clean?

Stockpile? What stockpile? Sure, I bought a lot of nic back in 2014 and 2015, but I sold almost all of it when prices went through the roof last year, just before the ban you're now trying to enforce went into effect.

If you don't vote you allow the small minority of crooked gerrymandered nut jobs who OBVIOUSLY do vote control the nation.

Look at congress to see proof, then ask ten of your friends which congressmen they voted for.
When they answer "I didn't participate", you'll know exactly how these career criminals stay in office.

The people claiming their vote doesn't count are making excuses for their own apathy.

Rights are like muscles, if you don't exercise them, you lose them.

In my day voting was considered a privilege. We were proud to be able to have a voice.
That's part of being and American.

Today kids think it's "cool to opt out".
You crooked congressman thanks you, as he votes himself another raise.

Maybe the reason that the congressman for this particular area seems to be a very intelligent, sane, and hard-working guy is because there's almost always a pretty long line at the polls where we vote, and that's been the case for every election I've taken part in since coming back to GA in '90. It's always an extremely middle/working class neighborhood, and WE VOTE!

You're already acknowledging that - let's say at least every time you pay taxes.....

Not really. By paying my taxes, I only acknowledge that they have physical power to cage me if I refuse (and will likely try to do exactly that), not that they have to moral authority to dictate how I live.
