You need to read this if you think it isn't happening RIGHT NOW.
This bill passed through committee this morning, and it's a game changer.

If this passes in Utah, half the states in the nation will do the same THIS YEAR!!!

IMO if a person has been vaping for a while, and is not already prepaired, it's their own damn fault.
BUT, what about the person that is still smoking, and wants to quit!

{OTHER STUFF} becoming legal in many states but we're the ones they target. This is absolutely insane. It's all about getting those tax dollars imo.

That's not an opinion good sir. What you wrote is fact! Your government is nothing more than a mafia shakedown artist. That's the most accurate way to put it.

Not exactly...they can, and to some degree already have, regulate the shipment of lithium ion batteries. So, do like me and learn how to make a Puck mod.

I'm working on a formula to create a liquid nicotine body spray... Not really, but I thought it sounded funny. :)

I agree that if UTAh passes this bill as proposed by Senator Paul Ray more will likely jump on the "lying bast$#d bandwagon".

When CAMPAIGNING FOR OFFICE RAY WAS HYPED AS BEING: "Representation by Paul Ray means you have an advocate in the Utah House of Representatives, someone who is willing to fight for your views and needs." We can see how that Bull worked out.

Like most politicians - Ray represents the beliefs of 'Ray' -- not 'the people'.

    General Description:

This bill amends the Utah Code to modify and add provisions related to electronic cigarettes.

    This bill:

Prohibits a person from ordering electronic cigarette products by mail, phone, or Internet without a license

Prohibits a person from selling an electronic cigarette product without a license from the State Tax Commission

Prohibits a person from selling an electronic cigarette product that contains nicotine that is not pharmaceutical-grade nicotine

Prohibits a person from advertising an electronic cigarette product as a cigarette or tobacco product cessation device

Directs the State Tax Commission to issue licenses to sell an electronic cigarette product under certain conditions

Provides that the State Tax Commission can revoke a person's license to sell an electronic cigarette product if the person sells an electronic cigarette to an individual who is less than 19 years of age

Directs the Department of Health to establish quality control and manufacturing standards for electronic cigarette products

Money Appropriated in this Bill: NONE

Other Special Clauses: This bill takes effect on July 1, 2014.

More garbage follows ........ I suspect few will bother to look.

Hmmm, apparently 18-year-olds in Utah aren't mature enough to make lifestyle choices. On this basis, I assert that 18-year-olds in Utah should no longer be required to register with the Selective Service until they are at least 19-years old.

Nor should they vote. If they aren't fit to make a decision for themselves, they should not be making choices for the rest of us.

Really, we ought to just extend this reasoning to alcohol, too. There are a couple of bills that seek to raise the legal age for cigarettes to 21, just like with booze. Well, then, if kids aren't old enough to smoke a cig and drink a beer, then they sure as hell aren't old enough to be in the military.

I completely agree. And yeah don't worry, Utah is trying to raise the smoking age to 21 too. At that time I would suggest no military, no marrying, no children (that would be useful IMO because then we wouldn't have to worry about their brats finding ways to get our eCigs)... in fact why 21? Why not 51?

Sorry for the rant but I really hate this place and its selective concern for the welfare of kids (did you read about how they took lunches away from school kids recently? do you know about our toxic air pollution and how many kids are hospitalized every year for the sake of greed and industrial growth? urrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!)
