How can i know the tube is genuine or fake

First: I am NOT saying the nice man who sold this to me, sold a fake !! and it works like heaven to me

But -- I have bought a GG Stealth, and the seller said the polish have made the engraving disappear. And he is right .. there are no trace of it at all.

Is this normal? And how can i know if it was a fake?

OCD people that polish the tubes A LOT will eventually remove all trace of the engravings, the serial seems to be the more "fragile" one? Its not as a deep as the others.

Others with more exp. regarding gg items and imeo himself im sure are able to spot if its fake or not by picture.

The stealth isn't that old so it would take a fair bit of polish to remove all markings.

Do you have the serial number so you can check the database or can the seller provide any receipts?

No, Lee, I have no number nor receipts. And I want to repeat that i am not hunting down the seller for this, he said there was no engraving because of polishing and i bought it. But nevertheless i would like to know. Now I have pre-ordered a new tube - I like my GG-stuff to be genuine So i thought maybe there were some signs that could tell genuine/fake.

ask the seller about the serial Run. He has to know. But I dont really believe that engravings are gone, its almost impossible. Only if the seller had a very deep scratch and he desided to polise it in depth

Looks like a punched carto to me. I think with the way Imeo designs things it's actually harder to find something that wont work with a GG.

No engravings of any kind?? I don't believe it, Stealths are less than a yr old or right around a yr old, would have to look it up
