My friend makes fun of me for how ocd I am about cleaning my gear. I'm just curious if i'm normal.

I fill 50ml juice bottles with rubbing alcohol and grain alcohol. I use the grain for the internals of my rtas and the running alcohol for the externals for when I clean them after I fill it. Like the juice that comes out over the seals or around the fill hole of my lemo. I also cut paper towels into 16ths and use them to clean up the tanks and whatnot. My one friend doesn't clean anything ever, and I would never touch his gear lol

So I guess, how clean are you guys?

You sound pretty reasonable to me, Ou2mame. I use lemon juice instead of rubbing alcohol (can't handle the taste of that stuff!), but every time I re-wick an RDA, I dry-burn the coil, clean the deck with a Q-tip, wipe down the sides of the RDA, wipe out the RDA cap, wipe off the drip tip and THEN stuff that little bugger with some fresh, fluffy organic cotton!

If I'm doing a new coil (once a week or so) I even take the post screws completely out, wipe those down, muck out the post holes as best I can with a Q-tip, do everything else (see above) and then do the coil. Hey, we're INGESTING here - and RDA's get kinda yick-feeling after one good vape session from the e-juice.

Every time I finish off a bottle and am starting a new flavor in one of my subtanks, I take the subtank completely apart and clean it up. I don't use any alcohol or anything though, just hot water and qtips. Aside from that I don't really let anything get nasty in the first place, just take good care and clean as I go.

I do not like washing insides of my tanks. There are no bacteria in tanks (PG is antibacterial and VG suppress bacterial growth). You can use PG for washing. I use nearly flavorless juice, so very little contamination to anything but wicks. And I would not like to use rubbing alcohol (I have no idea what type of residue it can leave). I hate using grain (or potato, if you will) alcohol for other purposes than drinking. Warm water works just fine - about once a month. The only thing I am .... about is a driptip. I wash it at least three times a day.

I keep both my toppers and batteries clean but not because I am overly concerned about any kind of germs. I just can't stand sticky on my hands. I don't use anti-bacterial soap to wash my hands either.

If we kill off all the germs the aliens might not die off when they attack us. :D

Pretty much this but I do use a little cheap vodka when when I clean the tank every other year to help clean out the tank innards a bit. Clean the drip tips more often but I'm not germaphobic about it.

Ditto, it's the aliens I'm more concerned about.

I make sure that all juice and corrosion are off of my mod and Atty. Also, I wipe everything down once a week. Other than that I'm not crazy about cleaning. People seem to be concerned about cleanliness today.
What the hell are you vaping that causes your gear to become corroded? :w00t:
