Hey guys, im a lil new to vaping and just got myself a smok Alien 220w with the pre installed .4 ohm baby beast. I also bought some juice with it, Kumo by the Cloud Company with max VG in a 30ml and after one day im almost thru the entire bottle! ive been using it at around 60-70 Watts idk if that has anything to do with it but I was just wondering if anyone knows how i could not go thru so much so fast? and if so which juices last longer etc. Thanks!!

50 mls used to last me 3 to 4 weeks, it's now at 1 to 2 since I started sub ohm coils. That is quite a bit though, have to force yourself to put it down once a while.
yea ik it is a lot and im really not using it too much, my friend has an istick pico vape and uses it more than me and had the same juice in it and barely went thru any compared to mine, im guessing from reading a lil bit might be the ohms of my coil atm (0.4ohm dual coils), should i try the other coil? (0.15ohm octuple coils)

generally the lower your resistance, the more juice you'll go through, so I dont think switching coils will make anything better.

Hi Josh and welcome to ECF :)

The higher the watts the more juice you'll generally vaporize per puff. Resistance is not the only factor, but generally the lower it is the more watts you'll need to make it vape well .. but not always.

I don't have a Baby Beast so I have no experience with the various heads that are available for it. Hopefully someone who does know it well will see this thread and help out. I also think the octuple head will not be better for you though.

The Baby Beast is a higher power (watts) atomizer that will make a lot of vapor which will use a lot of juice. I suspect some of the heads available for it will run well at lower watts, but I don't know which those are. There are also a lot of lower power atomizers on the market you can try if you feel like it, but if there is a better head for lower power that would be the cheaper option to try first.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

When I started vaping with the Halo Triton system with 2.5 ohm coils, I was vaping 24 mg juice and would go through about 4 ml a day. When I switched to variable wattage mods and went to the Aspire Nautilus with 1.8 ohm coils vaping it at around 10-12 watts, I went down to 12 mg juice and would go through between 8-10 ml a day. Once I started subohming, my nicotine level went down and my juice consumption went up. Now I am using Freemax Pure tanks with 0.25 ohm coils and 3 mg juice vaping at 40 watts, I go through easily 20-30 ml a day.

I don't use Smok tanks so not sure on the different coil ohms but a higher ohm will use less juice, as will lowering you wattage, but depending on the ohms you can only go so low on the wattage.

Another option would be to get a second tank that does have higher ohn coils. I use two different tanks, one that uses 0.5 ohm coils, the other 0.16 ohm. The 0.5 goes through so much less juice and I get real good flavor and clouds at 22w to 24w while the 0.16 gets great flavor and clouds at 80w-100w but goes through tons of juice. I use the 0.5 most of the time, also allows your batteries to last longer. But when I really feel like fogging up a room, the 0.16 comes out.

Eventually you'll be able to move onto dripping then your juice will last longer. You drip until your cotton is saturated and then vape untill the cotton is drying, then put it down. Similar to having a cigarette, unless you chain smoked. Like me with a tank it sounds like you are constantly vaping throughout the day and smashing through loads of juice.

Three factors in juice consumption.

1. Watts used.
2. Sub ohming coils vaporize more juice.

3. Your airflow.

I use a .8 ohm coil at 8-10 watts and 3.5 mls lasts me all day.

I would actually put at 3 the number/length of puffs is a big factor. A chain vapor will normally go through more juice than someone who vapes like they smoked (the reason my wife will go through much less juice than me). I normally go through much more juice per day on most of my days off versus work days. Also, I'm a big chain vapor when driving, some days at work I'm in the car 4-5 hours, go through the juice versus being in the office.

I can burn through juice like crazy with a quality build. This is where DIY and not caring comes into play. I really have no idea how much juice I can vape but it's a lot, prolly 20mls on a lazy day of comp and TV. At @50 cents per ml for most commercial juices subohming can get expensive. My juice is @2 cents per ml.

Welcome and glad you joined.
In General lower ohm coils/higher wattage vaping will:
Heat The Coil Faster
Produce More Vapor, can mute taste (coat mouth/build up)
Drain The Battery Faster
Use E-Juice Faster
Produce A Warmer Tasting Vape
Shorten Coil Life
Shorten Wick Life
More PV Maintenance/Issues
More irritation to non vapers (tends create more negative comments regarding cloud production)
