My ex girlfriend bought me a Swisher Sweet disposable when she became concerned of me smoking more and more. I only used the one, but it made me curious. I did some research and concluded that Blu would work the best. I'm glad I waited to get and eGo and Vivi Nova, which she mocked me for (huh?). Now I have quit and it is more of a hobby than anything. Don't regret a thing though :D

A little over a year ago I decided to try the Blu brand...it didn't work.

This past summer there was a thread about electronic ciggs on a 4x4 forum I peruse and got interested again. I had just started running and needed to get off the stinkies so I decided to do more research on it. The next day I noticed one of our managers at work vaping on a K100 in his office. We got to talking and he provided a few links including one to ECF and the rest is history!

About 3 years ago, I got a gift card from my sister for Christmas and bought an Njoy starter kit from a 7-Eleven because landlords changed and the new landlord didn't allow smoking in the building. I vaped in the room I rented and only smoked outside, which was highly inconvenient since the weather was very cold and snowy 3 years ago.
I quit vaping the cigalikes when I moved to an apartment and took up vaping 3 months ago when I discovered the ego clones they sold at the local tobacco store. I tried them and didn't choke on them, unlike the cigalikes from the convenience stores.
I discovered MBV and got my juices there since.

someone at work came across them 4 years ago so 3 of us got these small ego's with a little plastic cap with a atomizer in it and filled with a weird filler. We would take them out and replace with tea bags. Man they sucked!!! But 4 years later one guy was still vaping and i tried his clearo and it blew my mind so i started back! now i have a DNA 20 and a kayfun and im happier than ever!

Bonfire night 2008 at our local pub. A guy I know was using one, and the pub was selling them and allowing them to be used indoors.
I bought one at an extortionate price, I think it was a 901... I then went through all the cartridge 'mods', tea bag filler etc. and finally gave up for a while. The occasional try again over the next couple of years until last year when I got an ego c, an ecab and an eroll.
All use the ego c atomizer and have worked great for me. I have tried various clearomizers and not found one I like better than the old fashioned tank system, no leaks and easy to use.

I watched a brick and mortar store open this fall. Each day they had a sign that showed how many day till they opened.
The sign said Liquid Smoke, being a smoker I thought what the heck is this Liquid Smoke, had no idea about any ecig. I went in the store on the first day it opened. It was a store just for ecigs, no tobacco, Well I bought a set up, not to expensive, about 45 dollars and that day I quit the analogs. Smoked for 35 years, I was feeling the damage daily and visiting that store on the day it opened was the best thing to happen to me. I will be a voice to anyone who will hear that this will help you to stop the cigarettes.

I was a server at Outback Steakhouse ten months ago. Anyone who is a server knows the employees are notorious for smoking and drinking. One day a new employee showed up with a 1000 mah ego passthrough and a CE4. None of us had ever seen an e-cig before (I lie, I remember seeing a woman in the restaurant hitting a cigalike a year prior and all of us servers were huddled in the back trying to figure out if we should tell her to stop or let her continue... oh, hindsight...) He was hitting it in the back of the house during a busy shift. All of us where shocked. "You can't do that here!" We didn't know what it was, but we thought we knew. He explained it was an elaborate e-cig and a bunch of us jumped at it. We all tried it. When our most grizzled, salt-of-the-earth, 2PAD employee said he wanted one, I watched, waiting for it to fail on him. It did not. He went from the grumpiest dude I have ever met on earth, period, to the most satisfied, happy, joyful fellow I know. When I saw he could do it, I knew I could do it. As he was religious about his conversion, he offered to buy me a starter kit, and I accepted. When it arrived, I jumped about eight feet into the air and gave him a huge high five. It was on like Tron from that moment. I never, ever, ever looked back.

Boy, was I ready.

I had hurdles, I didn't know atomizers gave out. I went through several CE4'S until I decided to drip. I dripped into a 510 atomizer exclusively for five months until I almost caused a car accident. Then the owners of my local B&M showed me how to properly prime and fill a carto tank. I have NEVER ever been happier since!

I saw my first e-cig being sold at a local convenience store - an NJoy disposable. Decided to give it a try, as I had tried the nic gum, patches, lozenges, Welbutrin, and even hypnosis (twice) and all of them failed miserably. The NJoy wasn't great, but did seem to work, and I figured there must be something "better", so I started researching on the internet and found ECF.

That same week my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She was 84, supposively in great health, still active and driving herself everywhere, volunteering at the local Thrift Shop and playing the piano at her church on Sundays. A week later we found out the cancer was untreatable, and she passed without any suffering within two days. I had been very close to my mother, and her passing hit me hard.

It was a "life changing event" and made me realize my own mortality for the first time. I realized I needed to make the most important decision in my life, and that was to finally quit smoking or I would be dead within 10 years. E-cigs could help me, and they did - within one week I had stopped smoking and I haven't touched a cigarette since.

Baditude, I know we've talked privately in the past, but my sympathy still goes out to you. I've only experienced two deaths in my family (both were very aged and died painless deaths -- my great grandmoter just finally went to sleep, and the same thing happened to her son, my grandfather -- he passed within minutes and it was, as I've been told, quick and without pain, he just stopped breathing) in my 34 years of existence, and no deaths to anyone I know or love. I've never seen a dead body of a relative and I've never been to a funeral. I know that that will not be the case forever and I am very afraid of how I will react when my grandmother passes. I am very aware and very scared of that day. I don't know how I'll handle it.

Thank you, Billy.

I was one of those stubborn smokers who didn't believe anything could get me to quit cigarettes. I LOVED smoking, even though I hated how it affected my health, how it made my clothes/car/home and myself stink. Cigarettes were my crutch, my "friend" who was always there during stressfull times when only chain-smoking seemed to help me.

My mother's death and my finding e-cigarettes may have only been a timely coincidence, but that timing seemed erie and supernatural to me. It was one of those "life changing events" that hits your soul hard and makes you wake up to reality. So sometimes it takes one of these "events" to force a person to make lifestyle changes and give them the determination to save their own life.
