How do i fix i short in my box mod

Hello and welcome to the forum @Mike mccormic. Glad to have you here!:)

What box mod and RDA are you using?
What batteries are you using (brand, mAh, amps)?
What is the resistance of your build?
Im not sure the rest. I took it apart to see what it was. But coulnt fint anything

First alarm bell:
That's a negatively switched mod.


Does it get hot when you press button and no tank/topper attached?

If yes, then there really is a short on the mod.
If no, then your tank/topper is causing the short, possibly because its a negatively switched mod with a negative metal body.

Dear God, a low switched mech. It seems unlikely the mod itself has a short, there's not a lot to it. If it does, it has to be in the insulator between the positive contact and the negative one, or the plate where the battery battery positive poles contact might have swung out of alignment and is contacting the back of the box. It is far more likely your short is in the topper itself, or caused by a bridge screwing it in the 510 connector. It is also possible you put one of the batteries in upside down.
