I'm about to order a chuck and want a specific design on it. I work with glass and the patern I'm wanting is something we call an "encalmo reversed wig-wag'. lol

Here's a pic, but I want it without the opal:

Here's another example:

How do I get that to thag built? Just crop the pattern out?

A Little Chuck is 2.8" x 3"
A big Chuck is 2.8" x 4.5"

Send Jeff a picture. Higher resolution is better.

Here is the template for a big one. For a little one, chop 1.5" off the bottom.
Photoshop VS Reality... Here is a template for the CHUCK, the shaded area is what can be realistically viwed without having to rotate it.

Depending on the image, seeing only a slice of it makes it undistinguishable.

Make sure your image file is one of the two sizes below.

Big Chuck: 855 x 1350 pixels - 300 dpi
Little Chuck: 855 x 900 pixels - 300 dpi

If your source image isn't big enough to fill those dimensions, you can use the following sizes. The quality of the print won't be as high as the above settings.

Big Chuck: 428 x 675 - 150 dpi
Little Chuck: 428 x 450 - 150 dpi

How you do this depends on the graphic program you're using. In Photoshop, you can specify these settings when clicking File - New.

If I HAD to somehow make this work, I would blow up the image you posted, not worrying about resolution. I would then use tracing paper or a lightbox to re-create it with smooth lines. Once you have it inked you could either color it and scan it, or just scan it and color it using Photoshop. I know you said you don't know how to use Photoshop, but if your outlines are clear, filling in colors would be a breeze.

PS - I think we have some mutual friends on Facebook. I'm in Houston and I know I've seen your avatar somewhere else.

Eh, too much work for me.

You've probably seen my avatar on my Facebook page: Shatner Glasswerks. That's my 'business' page. My personal page is my name, Adam Wilson. Say hello on my wall so I know who you are.:)

Send those pictures to Jeff and ask him what he thinks can/should be done. Most of us send pictures of what we want but he's an artist and he's made some gorgeous ones. My two favorites are the SteamPunk one in the June 13 porn (directions - as steam punk as possible) and the keyboards on April 6 (someone said he was sent a few individual keyboards and he put them together like that.)

.... it. I don't know how to use photoshop and those are the only pics I have of the design. The pipes where sold long ago so I can't get anymore pics of them. If I blow up the design the distortion will look like crap.

Guess I'll just get a blank one.

If you want you can email me the images and I'll see what I can do with them in photoshop. I'm a professional photographer so I play in photoshop all day. So as long as the source file is decent I should be able to make it work no problem.
