How do I get the signature/banner thingy? and other questions please help :)

Hi Everyone!!!! I have been smoke free for 17 days! Yes and according to my quit calculator I have saved $194.29 (which I think I have spent on expirementing with ecigs and liquids lmao! But Im finally ok now with my 510 set up and a few flavours of liquids. Im thinking soon I will be investing in an ego tho! I do have a couple of questions though. Am I meant to just drop my eliquids on top of the cartridges that come because they all have malborough flavour already in them??? Do I vape them away first then pour on the liquids? Why dont they just come dry and empty? How do I get the banner that says how long ive been smoke free for etc?

It sounds like you have pre-filled cartridges with your kit. If you would like to change up the flavors and add different liquid, just take the filler out of the cart and rinse it in some hot water. Then dry it completely with a cloth or paper towel. Fill your cartridge about 1/2-3/4 full of the flavor you choose, put the filler back in, and add a few more drops until the top of it looks "slushy" (not pooling). You can add a few drops of liquid to the filler to keep it wet as needed. Not many users stick with cartridges though. Most will move on to simply dripping directly on the atomizer or using cartomizers.

To get your well deserved banner, just click on any banner from another signature. That will open up a new window to input your own information. Then, copy the code, go to "edit signature" in the settings page, and insert the information.

I hope I explained everything alright. I haven't finished my morning coffee yet If not, someone else will jump in with a better explanation.

Congrats on being a new vaper. To get your signature as a banner, you have to have a certain amount of posts first. I think it's 15, so you're good to go. Just click on anyone's banner and it will take you to a site to make one. Enter your info and then copy the code. Then, the way I did it was, came back here to ECF and went to the FAQ's and typed in "signature", and clicked on how to make a signature and it walked me through the steps. Get to your signature page, and paste the code and save, and you're done

As for the liquid and cartridges - I am assuming since you said cartridges you are actually using cartridges and not cartomizers. Two different things, but good thing is you can fill either one with juice.

For a 510 you CAN buy empty cartridges I buy mine from VapeHut, but you can buy them at almost any online vendor. If you are using cartomizers, however, to fill them look up on youtube something called "e cigarette condom fill method" and you'll find what you're looking for. That's how I learned to fill my cartomizers.

thank you!! I didnt realise I could get cartomizers because my 510 comes with cartridges and the atomizers are seperate (3 piece device) could a cartomizer fit on ? is it cheaper to buy cartomizers? Its all very confusing, for now I will follow your advice and pull out the stuffing and refill Also thank you for the tips on the banner! I will start looking for one that I like. Also you guys here at ECF are bloody awesome!! Ive gotten so much help and ideas from this forum. I started searching for an alternative for nicotine patches 3 days after deciding to give up because I felt I wouldnt make it with patches. SInce I started on the Blu type e-cig I knew this would be my answer now if I can stop spending all the money im saving from smoking cancer sticks on this new "hobby" I would be really happy! hahaha.

Dyanne, if your e cig is a 3 piece device than no you can't use cartomizers. I have both a 2 piece and 3 piece and I enjoy them both, they both do something different, ya know?

I had to lol at your "hobby" comment. I am still a pretty new vaper, and I have to say it's not only been an enjoyable way to quit smoking for me, BUT, it has indeed become a hobby

BTW, you can also buy polyfil and and re-fill your own cartridges with that, that way you have fresh filler. I've never done it myself but I've seen it done on youtube.

You can use 510 threaded cartos on your 510 batteries. You could also use the 510 tanks on your batteries. Just watch the resistance of the cartos. The 510 battery is low mAh and can't handle anything with too low a resistance. The standard Joye atty is 2.3 ohms and the batteries are around 3.2 volts. How low your carto resistance can go is a matter of opinion. I personally wouldn't go any lower than 2.0 ohms and some would say that is too low. Better perhaps to wait on your ego for the LR.
