Hi all, i'm new, hope i'm posting this is the right forum...

Just a simple question... I've been using my mini vivi nova(s) for maybe a month now... Fell in love with the first one I got, bought another... and then another... now I am up to 4 of these little beauties, one for each of my 4 fave flavors of juice... ANYWAYS... on to my question... Quite simply, does a head eventually "burn out", like a light bulb? (making it easy and simple to know when it's done?) OR... does it slowly get weaker and weaker (forcing me to make a "judgement call" when it's time to put a new head in)?

I have already read about (and learned to) clean and dry burn whenever they get a little gunked up... so no issues there... but I have NEVER thrown out a head yet, yes my original tank is still running on the same head that came in it (been maybe a month). sometimes it seems like it's getting weaker, but I may just be imagining it, i'm just not sure... Any info/advice will be appreciated! Thanks All!

They will slowly deteriorate....They wont pop like light bulbs...

When the taste is off, even after cleaning, dryburning ect... Or gurgly all the time... It's time to buy new ones.

Different juices will deteriorate heads more quickly than others to.... If you can use them for a month and more... That's very good... I would say that the average is 1 to 3 weeks.

With stock heads, I've yet to have one just 'burn out'. For me they eventually just get too clogged up to draw air through. Depending on the flavor...they usually drop in performance way before the clogged air flow point though.

I pull them apart and make a new coil at this point. I repeat this process until the little rubber thinggy in the pin eventually breaks down too much to safely take a new coil. Obviously at this point I can either attempt to source new rubber thinggies or just grab a hand-full of brand new heads...or, order a couple more complete tank sets that have 3 heads with them :)

For most of my liquids I prefer a stainless/silica hybrid wick (and sometimes lay a cotton flavor wick over that), and for a few flavors I use surgical cotton. The cotton wicks cost almost nothing to make...but I have to change the wicks in those pretty frequently.

that is great

I need to replace heads every 25-30 ml because my DIY eliquid is so sweet and gunks up that quick

luckily I rebuild so it costs less than a nickel in wire and wick and about 8 minutes for each head (more time than money makes this feasible - not a doctor or lawyer so I don't value my time at $500 per hour)
