I have the shopping cart open and am trying to order but the percents of VG is confusing. For example, I want Amaretto Stone Sour and I want it in the "default" PG/VG content. It says.... "and just a touch of VG to increase vapor production." Sounds good and I want it as Geoff designed it so what percents do I go with? The selections are all the same with no "default" showing for each product.

Thanks guyzs!

The maximum amount of VG you can order depends on how much nicotine you want.

Look at what it says in dark red near the bottom.
If you are ordering 48mg, the maximum VG possible is 10%
If you are ordering 36mg, you can get up to 20% VG
With 24mg, you can get 35% VG
12mg is available in a 50/50 mix.

You can order less VG than that but if you order more than the max they'll change it while they're making your mix ("we will simply add what we can.")

With the doubler, there's no nicotine so you can get 0% VG, 30%, 50% or 70%.

Does that make sense?

I appreciate your answer and I understand that part but you didn't answer my question about what the "default" is meant to be or in other words, what he intendend the product to taste like. I think that each recipe is based on the amount of PG/VG and changing the mix would effect how it tastes, hense what he said about "just a touch of VG....

Another example, and the only one I can relate to right now is when when you order from Ms T's she indicates that her recipes are a mix of PG/VG and doesnt' give you a choice so it's easy and what I have ordred have been spot on.

She says on her site: "Different sizes are available in the drop down. A mix of VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and PG (Propylene Glycol) and flavoring."

She mixes to get the right consistancy, sweetness and flavor and that is her "default" and she doesn't need to say what the percents are.

I don't want to mess with Geoff's recipes and I want it as he intended it to be.

Or am I reading wayyy too much into this?

:)

My understanding is the default is basically not VG. You get 29ML of liquid and if there is any room left in the bottle then He tops of the bottle with VG. Sometimes you get some and sometimes you may not.

I would recommend that you get a minimum of 10VG. if you dont (and your PV plays a part in this) but generally you will get great taste and TH but very little vapor.

My very first order I read that line and came to the same conclusion. So I ordered it with no additional VG. I got very little vapor from those.

I think 20% is the sweet spot.

Sorry. I misunderstood.

I maxed out the VG on everything. I ordered 48mg so I could cut it with the doublers so those were 10%. For the doublers, I went with 70% VG (except the AC, which is only available at 30% VG.) I usually cut it down to the 18-24mg range which is about 50/50 for everything but the AC.

When it's time to reorder I'll probably get 50/50 on the doublers.

Sounds good and I want it as Geoff designed it so what percents do I go with? The selections are all the same with no "default" showing for each product.

Just a note, it does not matter how much VG% is added to the mix, the recipe remains unchanged, i.e., people who want 24 mg 35% VG will get the exact same flavoring amount as those who ordered 24 mg 10% VG, etc.

VG/PG ratios have to do with vapor production and throat hit, respectively. Basically, by adding VG you increase the vapor production and might not get the same throat hit, as in all PG eliquid, as there is constant trade off between throat hit and vapor production.

To be able to find the perfect equilibrium between PG and VG, it might take some testing and other adventures in the vaping world. Will 90/10 PG/VG or 80/20 PG/VG work for you best? Or is it just 70/30 PG/VG? I think this is a question that every vaper will have to find out on his/her own.

But, as Poeia, pointed out, we are limited to the 1 oz bottle and level of nicotine requested. The more nicotine, the less VG can be added, BUT the flavoring and related recipe will remain the same!

Ah, I see. Maybe an explaination of this on the site for us noobs would help.

I decided to go with the 35% as I've heard on various posts around the net that a 60/40 or so PG/VG is the sweet spot for this stuff. I have a couple bottles of Rath, which is all VG and it seems to be pretty thick and wants to clog my attys some. I have some Ms T's and it appears to be a good mix even though she doesn't say but I suspect it's more PG. However, I have heard too that the darker flavors tend to gum up more than the lighter colored juices.

I've placed my order for the Tasty Finger and the Ameretto Stone Sour for myself and some Tobacco Menthol for my friend. They sound wonderful.

I can't wait to scrape togther some more bucks to try others. Let's see, all the way across the US, Calf to the coast of NC.......getting anxious already.

:)
