I'm new at all of this, so please bear with me. I was looking online at a 5-pack of replacement coils and it looks like these are the ones I might want: Kanger Protank 1 & 2 and EVOD Coil Replacement 5 Pack - 2.5ohm But, I can't figure out how to remove a coil and replace it. There appears to be a slot for a screwdriver at one end, but turning it seems to do nothing towards removal. Do you just press it out somehow, or what? Thanks for any help.

It should unscrew from the base. Just remove the base from the X9 tank and then unscrew the actual coil head from the base.

Thanks, Intheshade! Apparently, he just pulls it apart, after unscrewing the base. I'll try that, and I guess I need the 1.8ohm ones instead of the 2.5, for my 3.7v battery. Edit: Or, maybe I don't need to do the pulling apart of the coil, since he was just taking a wick out. Edit again: Well, I couldn't get it out of the base(?) (the flange around the coil) with just my fingers, and I won't try pliers until I have some replacements...to be continued...

Right, if you watch at 5.45 he has the coil head in his hand and he screws it into the base. You're just going to do the same thing in reverse to remove the old one, then screw the new one in.
Youtube is actually a great resource. As you've already figured out, the X9 is basically a protank, so maybe have a look around and search how to clean and maintain them (make those coils last longer) and, when you are ready, maybe venture out into a rebuild or rewick with cotton or something (or not, it's your choice)
Either way, stick around, you might even make some new friends on the forum - it's a great resource for new and seasoned vapers.
I'm not much into tinkering, and this thing works great when the coil is clean, so I won't be messing with the wicks, etc, I think. Just getting ready for the coil to conk out on me; the other day I got an extra battery (e-goT) because I had to resort to an analog (or 2) when my battery died. Didn't know it would recharge pretty quickly.
