First you need a hobby charger(R/C Hobby) with balancing capability..
Anyway, balancing is more important if u are using a pair of lipo in a set..
But as mention by some ppl over here, if have balancing function..Best to use especially when charging in series..
Hahaha..Initially i had no clue, then go read those torchlight forum then most of them doing this..So since i have a r/c charger at home so might as well save $$ from buying another charger..
Bingo..
Anyway, my hobby charger gives me the readings on individual battery when it's charging, discharging function if i need it(dont think so thou). Balancing is gd for lipos especially when you're running in pairs on a torch..You can be sure that both battery are charged up to the same voltage..
Normally carry a backpack wherever I go. So no worries for me about misfiring etc except at home on my beanbag. However there was this time I thought I left the PV in my car when I actually brought it into the house haha... searched the car upside down only to find it 3 days later in my room hoho.
