Hello Youmadbrah;
I also found all "
tanks" in general, when I first receive them are like soooooo tightly put together... probably a good thing since we want them to be sealed... no leaks ...proper flow..etc...
tanks are very difficult for me to disassemble also. I press the cartomizer through enough so I can get a grip and just pull. A hard smooth flat surface works for me.
So what I do when I first receive a
tank is to completely disassemble it and lubricate the INSIDE edge of the grommets, the surface in contact with the cartomizer, NOT the outer edge or top and bottom surface. These are the vinyl (venyl) seals your speaking of. I use Burts' Bees but any bees wax or vaseline type lubricant would work or VG or even used motor oil but I would not recommend it. I use a q-tip lightly dipped in the lubricant and then LIGHTLY spread it on the inside of the grommet... just a wee bit...does not take very much at all, just enough to give the surface a sheen. Once done the cartomizer slides through the grommets easily and assembly/dis-assembly is a breeze.
Hope this helps some and am sure other ECF members more experienced than myself have even better methods.
Good Luck
