I was modding the CE2's to some extent as well, but I always ran into leaking issues. Hopefully the new CE3's will have a decent redesign, including an easy refilling method.
By the way, I've found that the G4's at 5volt perform very similar to the CE2's, none of them have leaked after two weeks, and they are easy to refill as they are without modding.
Some lower ohm G5's are on the way which should work well at 3.7v. In my honest opinion, the G series have very good potential to be a hassle free well performing carto.
If you haven't tried them, at least grab a 5-pack of G5's and see how they pan out for you. Or if you have a 5v device, the G4's will do nicely.
