How do you fill your cartos?

I'm pretty new, got a KGO and BOGE cartos and various 24 mg juices.

Since none of it came with instructions, I went to YouTube. So I was filling the cartos by removing the condoms and the plastic mouthpiece, filling the shorter condom 3/4 full with juice and slowly dunking the carto in to it, inverting for about a minute, then getting down to business. Yesterday I got impatient and started simply removing the mouthpiece without removing the carto, dripping in juice slowly until it appeared saturated, letting it sit for a couple of minutes to soak up, then resuming vaping.

Is this OK? Is there a right or preferred way?

I usually fill mine by removing the mouthpiece and dripping the juice slowly into the filler material until it is saturated. I remove the carto from the battery first because any overflow will get into my battery (KR808 auto) and damage it. I'm not sure if this would be a problem with the KGO.
I will sometimes use the condom method, but with both ways of refilling I will wait 20 minutes before vaping. Both are accepted practices as far as I have seen online. 36 days as a vaper.

So--- If I understand this... You already did the first cartomizer fill. It got dry, so you removed the drip tip and added drops as needed to it? In that case, that's fine. I do that all the time. Well I did, but i recently got a DoD i'm crazy about so i don't have to anymore :p

You don't have to do the condom method every single time your carto needs a fill. Mostly, that's just for the first filling.

Tip, keep an eye on your carto the first day you're using it. At least for me being a heavy vaper I've noticed they get dry a little faster until they are "broken into"

RichardV - didn't think I might be comnpromising the battery, thanks for the heads up!

frosting - aha. That's what I've been doing, mainly. What is DoD?

Assuming your kGo is manual/push a button to use you don't have to worry about compromising your battery. That is only for people who use automatic batteries where there could be a hole in their battery that senses their inhale(I think that's how they work?) But I know for sure, manual battery you don't have to worry about it.

A DoD is a ridiculously wonky device but I love it. The drip on demand from madvapes. I really havn't wanted to deal with tanks because I love my cartomizers but dripping and driving is dangerous. Looking for a solution i found the DoD. A bottle goes on the top so you just give the bottle a squeeze when your carto or atomizer needs it. It has its pros and cons, but overall has made driving a lot safer for me. I like not having to drip either when I'm home.

LOL, that is scary... would be interesting for direct dripping with one hand, but for anything else a carto tank seems a bit better designed. That thing has to get some interesting looks and start some fun conversations.

Here's another feeder that look interesting:http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/id80.html

On the first fill I use a 16gauge beveled needle on a 3cc syringe. I draw up about 1cc of juice, then stick the needle into the filling, all the way down into the base of the Boge cartomizer. Then I *s l o w l y* depress the plunger until the cartomizer is all filled. On subsequent fills, I usually do the drop by drop method unless I am in a tearing hurry - then I go for the syringe method again.

I tried something like a carto-tank but it just completely killed the flavor for me. Great if it works for you, I couldn't stand them. Ohh... but ya, I'm just waiting to be pulled over for my DoD hahaha. Matter of time I tell myself....

Whoa... 60$! It does look different though, that's for sure.

Have you tried CE2's/Stone Tanks? The both ruined me for normal cartos/carto tanks for flavor.

If it's a new blank, or the carto's pretty dry, i use the condom method. Other than that, i find it pretty easy/quick/clean to just top off as needed. I'll just top it off till it stays slushy at the top, usually about 15 drops or so. I've only been vaping almost a week, so i'm still trying to build up a stock of blanks so i don't have to do the condom method every single night before bed. That DoD device definitely looks cool, but i'd only use it at home. Don't want the extra attention it'd draw LOL

My wife works at a hospital, and she's supposed to get me some syringes and 18G needles tomorrow so i can try the syringe deal.
