Glad you brought that up. Being that this wasn't an "official" release the printed instructions aren't ready (they will change a little when the bulk product arrives.)

You have 27ml of e-liquid and 5.5 ml of Flavor. So, if you were to add 3ml of flavor to the 27 that would give you a 10% Flavor mix. 10% is what we consider an "average" flavor strength, not so weak you get nothing and not so strong as to offend. This leaves you 2.5ml to adjust up.

We included the glass vial so you can do a small scale experiment.
9 drops liquid + 1 drops flavor = 10% (ie 27ml + 3ml flav)
9 drops liquid + 2 drops flavor = 18% (A little over the whole 5.5ml(17%))

If at 18% it is still not strong enough you will want to remove a little of the 27 before adding the FlavorPak.

12 drops liquid + 3 drops flavor = 20% So...

Remove 5ml from the 27ml (making 22) and then add the whole 5.5ml Flavor for 20%.

Basically, play around using this as a guideline using the glass vial. Make notes of your amounts. And if you need help extrapolating up from there let us know.

Concerning measurement, remember that 1ml = appx 20 drops, *from the dropper bottle*! The mini dropper dispenses very tiny drops, but when you are testing this is not a concern because it is just ratios. 9+1 from the mini dropper is still 10% just not half a ml like big drops from the bottle.

Or you can even simplify it further by doing it in the cartridge. 3 drops of this and 2 of that etc.

To avoid any train wrecks with bad combos i only ever mix in a cart. If I'm adding a "splash of flavor", I tend to add the hint of flavor as the last drop on cart and 1 of each on atomizer... YMMV, but it's much fun to experiment a drop at a time. No exact science, but it's not brain surgery either. Somehow I feel even 1-2mls of mixture improperly done is a huge waste of the precious life-giving juice ;)

The JuicePaks are really designed so that if someone just doesn't want to play around with it , they can just dump the flavor in the juice and go with it without ruining the juice (since we don't offer pre-flavored juice.)

However, for the hobbyist types we include the vial and dropper + the extra 2.5ml of flavoring to give lots of room for experimentation.

We usually use PG/VG USP to do the initial flavor tests, then we try it with 12mg PG/VG to see how the nic influences the flavor and then we have our recipe. That way we save our juice for "proven" formulas and minimize waste.

This probably isn't the right place to ask, but I keep having trouble with 100% VG giving a super-hard pull through a 901 atomizer, i.e. clogging it up. I have been cutting with water to try to get the right % but it is very difficult to get it right. Do you have any suggestions for cutting 100% VG to get something vapable?

Usually 10% distilled water works well. 10% Distilled water + 5-8% Ethanol (Golden grain/Everclear 190 Proof) will give you something very close to "commercial" e-liquid.

You didn't specify whether you were refilling carts or dripping. But if you are dripping straight VG go easy especially with a 901. Use 1 drop of undiluted VG for an e-cig in that size range. We only use thinned VG in ours.

Also, Rejoice, we now include a written instruction card with all JuicePaks. You should be getting yours soon.

Hi Jaaxx,

My first JuicePak will arrive today. Please verify I'm calculating properly.

If I add the entire 5.5 ml of flavor to the 27 ml of 36 mg, the final product will be cut to contain 29.9 mg of nicotine per ml?

Thanks

Yes! (36mg x 27ml)/32.5ml = 29.9

I would recommend you not do that without testing first or the flavor may be too strong (but your math is correct)!

You guys have me intrigued about the juice packs. I've been vaping flavorless from Juicy. Nice fresh taste.

Love the tips on the ratios and cuts.

Next order will be some juicy packs. Love the chemistry kit. Too cool! And all your little bottles are rock solid. Snap in place - not one leak. I have 3 dogs, so I get paranoid about a nic spill. I keep up high out of reach and don't have to worry one bit about leakage in my cases.
