how do you remove copper patina?

Any tips would be great i've read up on some things but would like to know wich way you find easiest

Ive removed it from antiques with a mixture of 1 teaspoon salt and a cup of vinegar. Use a soft rag and start rubbing away. Depends how bad it is as to how long it will take. Use a little wax on it when your done to keep it from doing it again.

I use a little bit of hot sauce (bottle of louisiana hot sauce is what i had on hand) on my copper mech's, cleans them right up.

i went with ketchup because i didnt have either of those and it worked awesome lol

Ketchup does work (obviously), though when I used it for brass, the result was not as good as from a proper polish.

Wright's Copper Cream or just about any metal polish would work fine as well. Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream does wonders for brass with minimal effort, so I imagine it would do as well or even better with copper (in my experience, brass tarnish is more difficult to remove than copper tarnish).

Anyway, glad you got your copper cleaned

If you haven't caught on, most acidic things will do the trick.

If you want something a lil quicker and more direct go tl your local automotive supply and pick up some Mothers metal Polish
