I've got a dead 510 battery I'd like to take the thread out of. I'm afraid of just wacking it in the middle with a hammer , what is the easiest way to get them out?
I've only recovered a thread from a 510 passthrough and to be honest that wasn't easy, well not compared to a 910 which tend to come out with a bit of a wiggle. I ended up using a small cutting disc on a drill and cutting down the length of the tube very carefully avoiding cutting into the connector. I've read elsewhere the batteries are just as difficult. If you're going to need them often I'd recommend ordering from Nerf and they're brand new shining connectors, not recovered from old parts. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-401-510-801-901-connector-thread-v2-0-a.html
i used a plumbers copper pipe cutter when i done my old batterys have heard you can putt an old atty in the end and with a heatgun heat up where the thread is and wiggle the atty and connector out
I use the cutting disk method too. Take of the end cap and pull everything out that end first as you don't want to cut the internal battery.
I tried using the heat and wiggle method but found the adaptor is too long on a 510. Works great on a 901 though
The 510 is a bear. I didn't have a cutting tool, so I used a dead atty and 2 pair of pliers to work it back and forth until it broke loose. I tightened the atty enough until the connector broke loose, then pulled. I got through 2 batteries before the atty was destroyed.
