How do you sample a new flavoring before you use it.

Mine was an old coil and wick too, so I'm going to build a new coil and break it in for a minute with unflavored, then drip on a saturated wick away from the coil.

Hope Danny wont mind that I sort of threadjacked, but still on the same subject so....

Yeah, apologies for that. I don't think he'll mind.

Vaped right away then another drop watermelon and same results. Then coconut, BLAH I would not suggest that, lol. Horrrible. I guess some may need to set and ummm (steep?, Blend?) for a few minutes. Will try a few minutes for the RY4 and coconut and see if it helps.
EDIT: Just by smelling the coconut it would need steep time for sure. I only use it in complex flavors. Not good stand alone.

This thread got me thinking... If I were to put unflavored and new cotton in a deep well RDA (My Magma) could I drip one drop of a new flavoring on the coil, vape back to unflavored then try next flavor? Anyone tried this or would it just leach into the rest of the unflavored juice?

I think the unflavored in the well would begin to taste like all the previous flavors.

But, if you have an RDA that doesn't have such a deep well -- I have a tiny Igo-S, no well at all -- sometimes when I'm testing a new mix, if I think it needs a touch of some other flavor, after the wick is saturated with the total mix, I'll drip one drop of that other flavoring that I think it needs, to get an idea of what it would taste like with it. When I've done that, the first hit will taste strongly of the additional flavor drop added, but the next 3-4 hits will be a pretty good mix of the added flavor and the mixed juice.

Andria... that is what i am not sure about. Will the flavor wick down to the well as the unflavored wicks up? Might try some more tomorrow....

I guess the only way to know for sure is to try it. But the flavorings are so strong... not sure how you'd keep it from flavoring all the juice in any kind of contact with it. Which might not distress you, but I'm one of those kinds of very weird people who tend to eat one thing at a time, and although I'm not as OCD about it as when I was a child, not terribly wild about food mixing on my plate, though it depends a great deal on the individual foods. :D

Multiple, multiple, mixes at different percents of flavor vg and pg.
I have mastered a flavor that noone likes because of that multiple mixing and percentages. Everyone likes it after they taste it done right..
I have been mixing long enough to know/find higher percentages of vg/pg will bring out/hide different notes.

New flavor:
So I start with 2.5% 5% and 7% 50/50 mixes in 3ml bottles
I taste test each 1st day then 2nd day and then let them sit for a long while. lol

I have over 70 flavors and use only one flavor daily along with store bought flavors
I do not know why but I gotta vape those store bought even though I love my own diy flavors, it's strange...
with so many mixxed and sitting I get stuck on that one/two flavor, the new flavors get a long steep and
I can master them singly, to mix into another, adjust vg/pg, adjust ph acid/saline and/or standalone...

I have made pancakes with blueberry syrup, pralines and cream, is uber good; , made butterscotch microwave cakes, etc etc they have opened a new world of flavoring treats..
I have made a water with apple and watermelon and it was horrible, lemon was good, gotta try cherry too.

BTW wanna blow ur kids out the water, add some lemon flavoring to simple syrup for waffles, crepes, or pancakes, I tell ya they wont know what hit them..
