I just got my first shipment today of BWB!!! I was so stalking the mailman! I got Malty Toffee, Applewood and Carmel Cap. I have an Ego with just the atomizers that came with my kit and some Boge 2.0 cartomizers. I tried dripping the Malty (which I think is 70/30 vg/pg?) onto my atty, but this stuff is THICK (but oh, so good!), and I heard that thick juices can clog up an atty. Since I got 15 cartos today too, I figured what the heck, and tried filling one of them, but the Malty just kind of sat on top of the filling. What's the best way to vape thicker juice?? Maybe I need a more powerful atty?

For any juice but in particular thicker juices (70-75% PG, I don't go lower in cartos unless in a tank) I syringe fill my cartos the first time. After you've "broken the seal" getting the filler to absorb a few drops from topping off isn't really an issue.

As far as cloggin an atty goes? I can't recall anyone mentioning it outside of the atty needing cleaning/maintenance. There's quite a few 100%VG drippers on here, maybe they have some better info on that for you.

Thicker juice requires more time to wick, and about the only thing I know of that you can count on to keep up is dripping. The duel coils do a pretty good job because the juice is wicking from a larger surface area over the two coils. The boge cartos have a good reputation but I've seen some posts lately where several are having problems with them. With any filler carto, it's better if you give a few seconds wicking time between puffs. The top coils can be used if you'll just remember to turn them upside down and back up between vapes if you do rapid vapes. I use attys and topcoils, and I do get the occasional dry hit, especially with the top coils when I forget to do the magic wand trick. There's nothing to singe in them tho, so I just get some juice to the coil and go back to vaping.

Try to keep your draw as slow as possible to allow maximum wicking time. With higher ohm atty and cartos on a slim or ego type battery, you can hit the button and preheat a little before starting your draw and pretty much stay on the button without overheating.

With lower ohm attys or cartos, if it's getting too hot, let off the button before finishing. The hot coil will continue to produce vapor. You can even pulse the button if you need to.

Hth, and good luck and happy vaping.

Fill the cartos with a syringe. If you drip into them, especially with thick juices, it will take a LONG time for it to settle, and if you dont wait long enough you risk singeing your carto wick. A syringe fill fixes all ofthat.

Heres how. I originally posted this for someone who asked how to fill a Ressurector Carto, but this will work for any carto.
Just out the amt of juice in ur syringe that your carto holds instead of the 2ml the Ressurectors hold.
Also I would suggest maybe trying the Ressurectors. They arewrapped more loosely than other cartos and seem to take thicker juices alittle better. I normally do 80/20 juices, but I do make one juice that I like at 85%VG (its thick) and Ive been using the same Ressurector for almost 3 weeks with the juice.

Heres my copyand paste on how to fill.

How to fill a cartomizer with a syringe:

"All you have to do is take the dropper part of the bottle off your juice and fill your syringe with 2ml for a new carto. Take the rubber tip off the carto and carefully insert the needle down the side pushing against the metal. DO NOT go thru the filler because it will move it and you could potentially break a connection and your carto. Slide the needle down the side and go all the way to the bottom. Then slowly start dispensing some juice. Dont dispense it all bc then it won't be evenly distributed. Put alittle in, then take it out and insert the needle in a different spot. I normally do it in 3 spots (in a triangle) I found it distributes the best, but you could just do it in 2, on opposite sides. Make sure the needle is at the bOttom bc then you will not have to wait at all for it to settle. Disperse slowly and you will begin to see the toP of the filler become slushy. It is full then, don't put more. If its a new carto is will def hold 2ml, if your refilling it won't take a lot so pay attention and once it gets alittle slushy stop. While your filling hold a napkin or something under the carto bc if you do it too fast a few drops will come out the battery end. If that happens its only bc you did it too fast and the poly fill didn't absorb quick enough.( that happens to me bc I am impatient and fill it in about 10 sec, so I just hold a paper towel or napkin underneath.) wipe up the drops and put the rubber cap back on the carto. Then put the carto between your hands and rub back and forth spinning the carto quickly. This will insure the liquid is evenly distributed in case you put too much on one side from the syringe.
Now you have a perfectly filled ressurector that is ready to be used right away!"

Goodluck

The condom method .Also when topping off give it a thermometer shake and it will go right down into the filler . I use really thick vg juices in my boges and they dont have a problem saturating the filler .They dont saturate as fast as thin pg but it shouldnt be a problem . On fluxo's vg i find impossible to wick .

Follow this video for filling . Its the best vid out there .I will be making a vid shortly since i perfected it even more to where i dont get a drop wasted or have to wipe or blow off any juice .

Thanks for all the replies!!! I filled up one of my cartos with the Malty Toffee (which took FOREVER..WOW, that juice is thick), and I am thinking it needs to steep a bit. This is my first order from BWB, and I did notice when I opened up the bottle and smelled it, it had a "medicine" smell? I can't quite describe it. I read that sometimes if the e juice is fresh, it will smell like that??? I don't think I will order anymore juice with that high of a VG content anymore either, as I noticed the TH kinda sucked!! :(

I am back to my Vanilla Mint and Smooth from Blue Mist until the BWB stuff steeps (how long are you supposed to let it sit?). My Blue Mist stuff is SOOO much easier to get into cartos!!!!
