I agree with the positives that every body else has already said. There is however one negative about all this, realizing the way government and BT,BP and every other entity that is involved works. If the regs pass as they are now, I fear Iwill forever not have the same outlook as before.
Nice to meet you, schatz. I'm with you on the fear that BT will try to use its weight to push the vaping industry around. It's already been happening all over. Heaven forbid people switch from a cancer-causing drug to a smarter alternative.

I think the vaping rights movement is really taking off, and I'm proud to consider myself part of it. I hope these types of stories can be enough to tell the truth. Here's a link to an interesting film that's addressing just that in 2016 A Billion Lives

I have smoked on and off since age 19. I started back, due to stress in 2014. I was smoking marlboro 100's and smoking a pack a day. Not long after that, I started feeling the effects of smoking. My mom suggested that I tried vaping. I started with the disposable ones. I blew through those things like crazy. I finally got a 15 watt knock off of the Smoketech vmax. I finally got a nice mod, a 30 watt eLeaf. I also use a eLeaf tank.

But, today, a neighbor across the street GAVE me a Orchid Atomizer. o_O:eek::confused: (he has a ton of the RBA's) I'm new to the rebuilding stuff. But, I'm getting the hang of it. It'll be nice to be able to replace the cotton myself, instead of having to spend 5 bucks on a coil every 3 weeks. :)

Thanks for sharing, and great to meet you Cobra313! Your story sounds a lot like mine. The first pack of smokes I bought were Marlboros, then I switched to any kind of menthol, and before I started vaping, I was doing everything non-filtered. When I started vaping, I smoked disposables like they were candy.

I'm really interested in getting to know more about mods and batteries, and rebuilding, though I'm not ready for that step yet.Congrats to you!!!

I hear ya. Best thing I ever did was dump the disposable ones and go to the coils. Now I am building them, much easier and cheaper too! and when one isn't working, cheap is good! ;)

And because I started vaping I could get my brother to do the same and he has a teenage daughter who will be going to college in a few years. The money he is saving will help with that.
That's great. It's such a great thing to see other people kick the habit with the help of vaping.

Started vaping in 2009, have not looked back since. This is a healthier alternative to cigarettes (we all know that), not very interested in saving, although it is a plus, more interested in stopping cigarettes.
I smoked cigarettes for over 30 years, after the first vape, I stopped and have not had one since.
Vape Pros
I can smell
It is a healthier alternative
My lungs are clear and my heath is great
I can breath
My clothes, vehicle, home, etc no longer smell
I save money
I can stay in the good hotel rooms
No more outside in the cold and rain puffing away on a cigarette
I can avoid "smoking areas" because now I cannot stand the smell of a cigarette.

Regarding the FDA, there are always ways, maybe vaping will never go main stream, but for committed vapers, we will continue. Keep in mind there are other forms of Nicotine besides that which comes from tobacco. No one can ban wicking materials, wire will always be around, stainless metal parts will always be available, Batteries cannot be banned, electrical parts will still be there.
Vaping hardware and liquid is so generic, good luck making them go away.
I live in Mexico where vaping is not banned but it is illegal to sell anything related to vaping, so I have to go to great lengths to obtain mods and juice. But that will not stop me and I know other vapers in my country will not stop either.
Vaping has changed my life in a big way. Almost 4 years in a few months. Have not saved a single penny but I CAN run 5 miles now so I am not complaining.
Big tobacco can do a lot to harm this industry but it will never have my business again.

Over and out

Thanks for sharing, Edson! It's so great to meet vapers and vaping advocates from other countries! I have yet to travel outside the U.S., so I'm always fascinated by other rules and cultures.

A huge congratulations to you on hitting four years! Be sure to post in here on that day, so we can all celebrate your vapeversary! Your commitment to the cause is really moving.

Since I was young, I've always had a hard time running, but since I quit smoking, the idea of running five miles seems like something I can attain!

You're right about big tobacco. All the rhetoric and restrictions out there are simply the product of people who want to keep making money off of people smoking things that will kill them.

Vape On!

Oh, cool! I've never played it, but I hear the music is really great. Actually I hear the game is really great too! (I'm so behind on video games. I just started playing Ys and some really old final fantasy on DS!)

Vapin instead of smoking? I now have a bunch of stuff vs just a pile of stinky butts.
Trouble is I keep wanting more stuff than I need....
Nice to meet you, Robert Cromwell.
Ah, "wanting more stuff than I need." That would perhaps be my tragic flaw if I were a hero in a Greek tragedy.

I love that I don't have to snuff my vape out, or throw away a cigarette ..... I just put the vape right in my purse!
Saving the environment, one .... at a time :p

You can start with the original fallouts on pc before rights were sold to bethesda studios. They were great then, theyre great now. Probably my favorite game series.

Man, I am sooo behind. I have been playing DragonQuest on DS. I really want to play Fallout and Silent Hill (I've never played it), though I'm told it's really scary. Happy Holivape!
