Prefaced with YMMV caution: on my sigelei v5 (15 watts) with the 1.8 coils I keep it between 10 and 11.5 watts. On the sigelei 20W I've taken it up to 17 watts. As you know, go slow and see how it behaves.
Yep, just work it up slowly. I can only run them at the MVP's 11W max. However, I also have a 30W box mod inbound. Should be here tomorrow. I'm going to start at 11 and keep going until the coil tells me to stop.
Yeah I just watched a YouTube video and guy took it up to 18 with great success but at 20 he got a little dryness in the throat so I'm thinking 18 is the magic #!
My DNA30 showed up this morning. My full size with a 1.8 BVC taps out at 14W, the mini with a 1.8 can do 15W - I'm assuming the difference is the juice. The mini is due for a coil change so I'll toss a 1.6 in there and see if I can push past 15W with the slightly lower resultant voltage. Once my rebuildable attys show up the Nautilus tanks will go back to full time duty on the MVP as my primary backup rig.
For grins, the DNA with mini vs. MVP with full size:
lol... I popped a brand new 1.6 head in my mini to see if I could up the wattage a bit and it reads 1.9 on my DNA30. Tested it on the MVP and my DMM. Sure enough, 1.9. This is the first BVC I've used that's been that far out of spec. Has 1.6 stamped on it and came out of a pack of 1.6 heads that have all been dead on 1.6 or at most 1.7.
The biggest variance I had seen on any of them (1.6 and 1.8) before this was 0.1.
