How Hot - Temp at the coil?

At .4 ohms, I have been told that the heat at the "switch" is in excess of 300 degrees F. I am wondering if anyone knows the formula and / or methodology to determine the heat at the coil?

I am limited to posting here... so here is where this needs to be.

Not sure yet but I do have a lazer thermometer heat gun used to measure asphalt temperature. I'd like to know also I'll get back on this one.

(where's that ten foot pole...it's here somewhere.... avoids mentioning juice composition, wicking, wire gauge variables...just keep looking for ten foot pole...and if found won't touch this question with it)

300 degrees?! You have been told wrong. Anytime a ecig heats up there is likely a problem with it that needs to be fixed.

Good call attypops maybe I should think before I volunteer on something I know very little about. I swear I have no filter some times. Now im inserting foot in mouth.

at .4 ohms you can be pushing 10.5 amps - thats plenty of current. Just looking for the formula or methodology to determine temp - that's all. Peace my brothers.
