BOOOO that video sucked!!!!!!!! I was hoping to actually hear what you sounded like :)

seriously though very good video. as for the connector for the turkey baster I remember as a kid getting surgical tubing at hobby stores to use as fuel line for RC planes. I don't know if they still sell it but maybe something like that or possibly vacuum tubing from an automotive store. just my .02

Great Video.

Question: When you draw the water through the cart at the end i noticed you turned back and pushed it back out the same way. Have you noticed if it puts any of the juice back in the cart doing that? I just thought by pulling it all out then pumping it back through you might be recontaminating the cart.

OH WELL i think too much about this crap lol

Great Video! Now to go McGyver me a turkey baster!

I did this on a few cartos yesterday, and it worked great. Thanks for the idea. If you can't find a pencil grip, look for a pen that has a grip on it, and take the pen apart to get the rubber tubing off by itself. That's what I did (after going to Office Depot and buying 5 pens with grips on them for $3.75 doh!). One other thing I noticed that you might add, Belle and everyone, is after drawing the hot water through the syringe/carto and back out a few times, to aid drying time, pull the syringe all the way out (with no water in it) and thrust it quickly a few times while holding onto the whole assembly to spray out that last little bit of water left in the carto. Helps it dry faster!

end-user, yes! actually, all of my grips were from... repurposed... pens. & i do aid the 'blowing out' process w/ the syringe. i've also found that a baby-medicine dropper works great for this, if you can't find a turkey injector--a grip fits on it fairly well, and while they don't have as large a capacity as the injector, the squeezy-bulb end makes it faster to fill so it even out.

deitra, thank you.

I have only started a short while ago myself. Wonderful idea and video, Belletrist!
I have not washed my carts yet, my collection of ones that I will wash is only just starting, but I have found the flavor injector and grip at the local chain stores already. I also bought a used pan at the charity store to use as the dedicated cartwashing tool.

I'd like to get a concensus on how many times everyone cleans and reuses a carto until they trash it. It would seem that they would last until the atty is shot if they are well maintained like in this video. I've only been cartomizing for about two weeks so this inquiring mind wants to know.

:)

You won't get a "consensus" - it's a per-cartomizer thing. They're single-use disposable. They're refillable until they aren't any more.

You'll hear 3-5 times, 20 times, 50+ times... They're overbuilt for the purpose of use-once-and-junk but not built to use more than once and not junk. So somewhere from 1x to infinity.
