Hello my fellow Reonauts. I've been asked what I mean by lower case "e" when I try to describe how I wick with bamboo. This is the shape I'm trying to describe.

I then use a piece of wire to grip the bamboo from the middle.

I put the ends of the wire through my coil.

Then I pull it even on both sides of my coil.

Sorry for the fugly pix but what can I say it's phone pix. Once again I've sourced the Bamboo from Walmart dot com. Aunt Lydia's Bamboo#10 size natural color. It costs $2.49 for 300 feet this should come to around 2,400 wicks. YMMV Be Aware it shows a 300 foot roll but says it 3 feet on the site, you will get a 300 foot roll delivered to your local Walmart. I hope this helps my brothers and sisters. Much love to you all.

Woot! Thanks so much for sharing the pics and procedure (I was one of the ones asking you for this).

Hmmm... I'm going to have to find a Canadian source (Walmart might work) as I just don't want to pay international shipping.

Edit: just got some online from Fabric Warehouse. The bamboo she will be mine, oh yes she will.

Not a big fan of the nanos. I am pretty set with my 1/16th id micros. I dont build anything else. Best vape IMO. I just wich i could find a more durable wick with great flavor. My wicks look like dookie after a day or two.

try a nano... and give it a cotton diaper... its amazing...

Your wicks are looking that way could be due to several factors...type of juice, amount of heat at the coil and how saturated your wick stays while your vaping...

This is simply my opinion and have nothing but a few months of experience...YMMV

Also, X-116 wick material is crazy durable and just last and last... to clean the coil and wick all you do is dry burn it until it turns white again...

I'm going to gather up some new types of wick to try out. Bamboo will be one, XC-116 will be another. I cant stand the taste from ekowool and my German silica is not much better.
I know its my 100% VG juice that causes the extra gunking. Just hoping that a change of wick material may make a difference. If not, cotton it is!
