how long before site times out?

For lack of knowing where to post this here goes. Many times I'll try to bring up a jpg. or link and I find that I have to log in again. It seems like a pretty short time to me. I've answered PM's and by the time I compose me response I'll have timed out. Funny thing when bringing up a jpg. and site tells me I have to log in again. I do so then I can view the pic but have no way to return to ECF (no back button). So I have to bring up the site and log in again! Just wondering if I'm the only one with these problems. Does someone know how long of time before the site will time you out? And anything else that applies.

Late at night I have the site up all the time, so far I have never timed out.

thanks for the reply. I never realized just how much traffic there is in the new members forum. I did time out sometime in the last hour. go figure

Did you check the "remember me" box when you logged in?
