I was googling trying to buy Reservation cigs and I think it was pushing vape stuff then. I often will check for reviews on most things so ended up here. signed rite up and begged for someone to tell me what to buy. clicked the store's link, bought it and in a few days was vaping.
I'm most often more complicated about things tho. That particular day I was just fed up with smoking and didn't care. With the equipment I bought tho, I would have given up vaping shortly afterwards if not for further direction here.

    Good idea for a thread.

I signed up at another site that refers to being below ground before signing up here. I lurked both a few evenings before signing up to either. After a post or two at the other site and reading for knowledge at both I read a thread about word filters 'keep or not' and the second post had a four letter word spelled out in it. The next few were praising that post.

    Pyaaawww, (bullet richcet sound)
I was outta there. But this place I did not understand due to the format. Now after a few months the other forums I hang out at seem lacking the ECF method(s) of posting on a forum.

I lurked maybe an hour. I’d found a different forum, but it wasn’t a good fit for me, seemed like a bunch of kids each trying to outdo one another. I came here with a question and had an answer right away. I seriously doubt that there’s anything I need to know that someone here can’t tell me.

Back in 2012, I got a pop-up ad for some ecig (can't remember the brand) and was actively trying to quit smoking after 40+ years. I was intrigued and during research I wound up here. A day later I ordered my first kit (a volt cigalike from SmokeLessImage) on recommendations from the folks on ECF and stayed here researching for about a week while I waited for it to arrive.

I never thought I would quit, but hoped to cut down a bit. Once I realized how well it worked, I joined up and have been here daily ever since.

I had never even heard of this thing called vaping when I stopped smoking in March 2013, but soon after saw an ad on TV for Blu. So I did some research about them for several days and that eventually lead to finding ECF. My first gear was 6 button fire KR808 Halo G6's with Mini Tanks, but they didn't get it done for my DLH draws. So very soon I was into the 18XXX batt mech tube mods.

Looked but couldn't find the commercial I saw on TV. I did however find one for the same Blu model offered back then that was done in Aug 2013. They had changed their commercial from a man to a babe using the auto fire version.

I learned everything I knew by watching YT honestly. I just signed up here to interact w/ the community and to help others. This is my 2nd go around. First time, I used my real name (bad mistake). Also, I wasn't really digging the auto hyperlinks that came up everytime you would type. It was annoying. But I'm glad it's gone now. It's good to be back to see some old familiar faces again.

Made me check my own profile to see my join date. 4 months, almost to the day. I'd never joined a forum at all, and don't really do social media at all. Pretty private person. But I totally research anything I do, and over and over and over, the best answers, from logical and reasonable people, were on this site. I wanted to ask a couple of questions that I couldn't find answers to, so I finally joined. Love it here! Great, knowledgeable, helpful people here, and quite a respite from the type of discourse on the rest of the internet. It's become not only a resource, but a fun place to be!

I think it took me about a day. I knew pretty quick that I was going to try this new fangled way to smoke and that I was going to really benefit by being part of the community here. Still remember asking what the difference was between an eGo connector and a 510 just before I bought my eGo-C kit. Ah, the good old days

I signed up immediately, went to the New Members Forum, posted my "Hello", and got censured by Classwife for discussing (other substances).
A harbinger of things to come ....
Six and a half years later, I am still here. And still no hard feelings towards Classwife. She's just doing her job.
