One of my cartomizer died last week, it was a brand new one, only used for a week. Then I still have some as old as 6 months and still working. I really need to buy more and throw them away, I think they give me an off flavor of burning since I boiled them so many times. I'd say a cartomizer can be use for like 2-3 months before you should replace it, it's quite cheap even if some of them only last a week.

I just started using cartomizers and was wondering how long they should last. I ordered 25 and 7 of them were already dead.

I ordered some from Eastmall because they were .80 each. Has anybody tried these. Are they any good.

I know I has bought atomizers from them and they didn't seem to last as long.

Eastmall has Boge cartomizers which are the preferred brand with ECF members. They are the same as the $10.00 a box ones from other vendors. There is always a few duds in the packs, but 7 does seem a little high.

Guys I dont know what you do to keep cartos going for months on end. Maybe rotate them out. Wash..dry...I'm not sure.

My cartos usually last about 1.5 weeks. I vape about 3ml a day--I keep them very wet. I do not change flavors very often so I use the same carto for that entire time. I vape at 4.5-4.7 volts. I use BOGE cartos.

Now could I continue to use them after the 1.5...sure. But they start to get that flavor to them...the little funky flavor. I have tried rinsing, boiling, drying...only to really find a reduced perf of the carto when i was done.

I figure they are cheap enough and i enjoy the flavor i get from a newish carto's so i replace them as soon as I start to get that funky taste.

PROPS to all the people who are pulling off getting months out of their cartos.

My guess would be vaping at 4.x volts is the culprit but as you say, cheap enough to be replaced !

Seems like it would depend on how many cartos you're rotating. The more you're rotating, the longer they'll last.

Ditto, I'm using the Boge's on an Ego battery & I average about 10 days. I think it also depends on the batch. My 1rst box, I got over 2 weeks per carto. My latest box are lasting about a week, I just change one after 6 days. I change mine when they get hard to draw or the vapor diminishes.

I also have a couple of regular cartridges that I've pulled the stuffing out of & cut down so they fit in the carto's without touching the stuffing. I have two different ones because the depth of the stuffing isn't consistent. It's just easier than trying to get that white plug out every time I need to refill.

I tried some of the gold threaded LR carto's (SLB I think) & hated them. They seem to leak real bad & I didn't like the taste. Gave the juice a scorched taste. I also don't like them because my carts that I cut down don't fit tight enough to stay in. That being said, they do produce a ton of vapor.

I don't know how people are getting cartomizers to last this long at all. I've been using cartomizerss since last November and I figure I go through a box of 5 every 20 days.

Sometimes you get a dud right out of the box quality control being what it is. But I find 3-4 days if I just used the same carto continously,

Well all I can say is I get mine from LiquidXpress. I don't know who makes theirs but I have purchased 60 or more and never had a single one DOA. I had one that seemed like it had an air leak so vapor was week, but I still used it.

I buy them pre-filled, they are the same price as blanks so its a no brainer. Why pass up on free juice? I get them in Grape, Traditional Tobacco, and Taboo (RY4). Then I keep them wet with the same juice, I have all three in 30ml bottles.
If you go even one hit with them too dry they are done. Once you get a slight burnt filler taste its too late. That makes it harder to tell for me with the tobacco flavor ones so I tend to top them off more often.

To top off I drip about 8-10 drops around the top of the filler, put the condoms back on and let sit for a few hours or more.
I never top off and go right back to using it, it seems to take a long time for the juice to distribute fully and you will burn them IMO.

Next, and this might be a big one ..... I DO NOT CLEAN THEM !! I tried cleaning a few when I first started using them and all it does is shorten their life IMO.

Honestly I have never tried or cared how long they last. I just know they last a long time for how much they cost. A box of 5 is 8 bucks from them and I spent $9.xx a day on cigs. I just cant get worked up about them even if I had to use 2 per day and chuck them both a the end of the day.

I've had the similar results.
Let them soak over night before vaping, keep 'em wet, and don't clean them. I use the same cartos (1-7 to 3.2 ohm ~ 3.2v to 6v) for weeks with few doa's.
I also keep the threads and batts clean, free of excess juice and the gunk. That seems to help keep the vapor density stay consistent.
