How long do wicks last?

You're going to get a bunch of different answers to this question. There's alot of variables depending on the type of wick, the juice used, the type coils used, etc. my rebuilt Vivi nova cotton roll wicks last a week or slightly more, but I usually just switch out a new coil on the weekends. Cotton has great flavor and wicks real good even with my VG juices. They are juice hoggers though and use up alot because they wick so good.
edit...oops. Just realized you are asking about rebuildables. I make cotton wicks in my Igo-l's also and it's about the same, about a week, if I'm using it exclusively.

I'm curious as to what voltage you are vaping with and what ohm coils. Maybe you aren't keeping your wicks moist enough.
Oh ok. It's a unregulated 3.7 reo. Ohms at 1.3-1.4 it's tobacco juice. I was worried about burning the wick so I accidentally flooded it a couple times. It ended up draining down into the bottle which ruined the whole bottle.
Low ohms burn hot. You would do better with 1.8 or 2 ohm at 3.7v. They also drain your batteries faster. But if you are into sub ohms and wanting to achieve that, I'm not real familiar with those. Sorry.
You should be able to dry burn your silica wicks. Dark juices tend to gunk things up pretty quickly.
Next time, instead of recoiling and rewicking try rinsing your RBA (I'm assuming RBA since you mentioned the Reo) under the faucet and then pat it dry with a paper towel. Then attach it to your mod and fire it while blowing across the coils until the coils glow. With practice you should be able to get everything almost clean again. My silica wicks would last a good month before I had to recoil (they don't burn as much as just break down eventually).
That said, check out the micro-coils thread. A 1.5 ohm to 2.0 ohm micro-coil on a Reo is perfect with a cotton wick. Of course, with darker juices you'll be rewicking more often but it's so easy with cotton.
