How long does a 30ft spool of wire last you?

Only simple coils for me, no clapton, no nothing.
I use 6" of wire per coil. Coil is good for 3-6-? months, but let's make it 3. 4 coils per year = 2' per year. Or less.

Really depends on the wire gauge and what I am using it for. Recently stocked up on the Amazon Sale with LV, so ive got enough to last me a good long while. I use 24G the most so Ill use that as my baseline. If I am just building for me, 30ft will last me about 4 months, when I add in building for friends and family, I end up going through about 30ft every 2-3 months. If its high gauge wire for rolling claptons or anything like that, then I can make a 100ft spool disappear in a day. (I tend to build in bulk when it comes to fancy wire)

I bought 3 spools, each 30 feet, four months ago. I might need another spool of 28 awg next month. So....short answer - 30ft of wire lasts me a good long while.

I only make my own coils.

Best quality wire I've found to date is from Kidney Puncher and very good prices. The wire is smelted in Sweden and milled in the US, very clean and seriously top quality.

At approx 4or5 inches per build.. and rebuilding weekly about 13 m
onths or so.
