How long does a carto last you with your maintenance routine?

Hi, I'm a recent convert into the cartomizer world. I was previously using a 510 and dripping and an ego with a tank setup. So I'm trying to read as much info on cartridges and the kr8 model as I can.

If you could take just a moment please, to tell me:

1) how many refills you average before throwing a carto?

2) What is your maintenance routine? .... No need for a detailed how to but more of a "vodka soak, flush with water" or "no cleaning, just rinsing"

3) How often do you clean it? after 5 refills? or til it stops working well?

I've read a thousand cleaning method threads but it's extremely hard to compare them when they are posted so many different ways and not many are specific as to how many refills they get before cleaning/lifetime or how often they clean it.

This would really help me decide if and how to clean mine while I'm trying to figure out what will work best for me. Thanks for your time!

I don't have as much experience as some here, but my experiences cleaning Cartos hasn't gone well.

I've tried water, and I've tried vodka followed by water. In both cases I gave them a spin, and let them sit out for more than 48 hours before I filled them. In both cases the Cartos didn't seem to produce as much vapor after they had been cleaned, and I tossed them after one refilling.

I now try and keep a few Cartos going, and I try to stick with the same flavor for a Carto once I fill it. I try to top them up once the vapor production and flavor drops noticeably, so I might not be doing complete refills. I'm past 5 refills, but I haven't quite got to 10 yet. I do have a Carto of BwB 555 that's pushing 10 refills. It's starting to show it's age, it doesn't hold up like it did, so I may toss it once it runs down.

This is a good question. I just started using a KR808D1 setup and I've been researching how to refill the cartos. Nobody really mentions how long they last though. I'll be watching for the answers as well...

They aren't technically meant to be cleaned, so people's methods vary wildly.

I just keep refilling them until they don't work well anymore, and throw them out. I get a good 10-15 (20 is pushing it) refills out of a carto, then I toss them. They're $2.00 each. I spent $12 a day on smoking, so it's a bargain.

Used my first Clearo 30 days, filling it 3 times a day with 50/50 VG Cinnamon. It finally started spinning on the batt connector. I just switched it out for another. JMHO

5 or so refills, then they go in the trash. Just my method anyways...
