I vape unflavored nic in 90% VG. It's very clean burning. I rotate between 2 mods and typically run about 3-4 ml a day thru each.

I have never had a coil fail or get bunked up and I have let one or two run for a month - a month and a half. I pulled them just because I felt like rebuilding them.

This is using both 29ga and 28 ga micro coils in the 1.3 - 1.7 ohm range.

I use CVS sterile rolled cotton wick and typically replace it about every 7 days. Not because it fails but because I feel like it.

Here's a pic of my typical setups:

Wow, 6 to 8 Ml's of e-liquid per day...I used vape about 2 to 3 Ml's per day, but with RBAs that number is creeping higher day by day.

What nic level do you vape at, and did you lower your nic level when you started in on RBAs?

Glenn,

I just dropped to 12mg from 24 Mg about 3 months ago. I'm vaping more now that I've dropped too :)

I started in RBAs about a year ago and before that I too was vaping less.

It's hard for me to exactly quantify how much I vape because I rotate between two mods but I think it's more like 4-5 ml on a typical day with longer days running a bit higher. :)

Wick replacement frequency and what denotes wick failure is a personal preference issue, to me, once I taste the slightest burnt taste, I replace.
I exclusively use hemp fiber, and have enough to leave to a family trust for the next 50 years, so replacing is just too easy vs cleaning.

Would you please post a picture of your hemp setup?

Feels like EVERY fricken day for me. :-( It's GOTTA be the juice I'm getting, but my coil is gunked up after about 5ml of juice. I stopped making micro coils and now wrap on a 3mm drill bit and 4 or 5 wraps in the KFL+. This has kind of helped with the gunking issue, but the vapor production is hit and miss. Kinda ticks me off actually, when my setup is good, it's great but I gunk fast. If my build is so so, vapor production and flavor suffers a bit, but gunks up a little less. I'm sure it's something I'm not doing quite right. Hope to resolve it soon.

I use SS mesh and I have been using the same wick for I think over 2 months. I recoil sometimes when I am bored but if I dry burn and scrape the charred stuff off the coil every tank or 2 it stays running like new all the time. I only vape 3 or 4 mls a day though. I did have to up my nic when I started using RBA's because the TH just isn't there for me. It's like way to smooth of a vape. Nothing a bit more nic didn't cure.

I change wicks about every 4-5 days. Change coils whenever I feel like it....sometimes I change the coil when I change the wick, other times I leave the coil in for a month. I never leave the coil in longer than a month. If I WANTED to, I could keep re-using the same coil long past a month...but I just see no reason to, after all, I have hundreds of feet of wire.

A well built micro coil, that is 28ga or thicker, should last quite long. All you have to do is dry burn it after you take the cotton out.

Cotton on the other hand, doesn't last as long as silica wick does. I replace my cotton every 3 to 5 days.
