safe distance from a black hole
2.6yrs vaping and 2.5yrs not smoking.
Innokin T22 Endura kit was what I started with and it was pretty damn awesome but it was a Naut2/Zelos with 0.7 coils that finally ended the cigs.
Started on 18 and 24mg nic and now use 2mg to 3mg.

I stopped smoking, and started vaping 2 years & 2 months ago

My magical device was an Innokin t18 vape pen, followed by the Innokin t22 kit

I would love to hear what other members used to stop smoking

I'm getting closer to the 6 year mark (in June) and I quit using an ego with a ce4 tank.

The day I got the juice and the ego in the mail is the day I quit smoking...

Started around 7 years ago or a bit more.

I don't belive that for me it was a device making the difference.

The day when all changed was when I finnaly discovered the setup/tuning on the devices I had that gave me more pleasure than smoking.

Nowadays I can tune my devices and get the satisfaction I need.

It wasn't the device but the knowledge on how to vape that made the difference.

Hope this makes sense.

It does make sense to me. There is a guy on here (@tj99959 ) whose signature is "The biggest and most common mistake is buying product after product searching for that perfect vape instead of learning how to get that perfect vape from the products you already have."

I took that to heart and started saving all that money I thought I would save.

between here and there
Started almost 10 years ago with a cig-a-like called a Safe Smoke. I still wonder how I managed to quit smoking using that but its just about all there was and I was so determined to quit I just jumped in with both feet. I admit at the time, I did try just about everything out there because it was all such a mess to even try and get a decent hit on anything. Finally the provari came out and then tanks.
But for me, it was not the power supply but the tank that made the difference. Once I could fill a tank(using a cartomizer with punched holes) I knew I would never go back to smoking cigarettes. Until then it was always a struggle.

Let's see. I smoked my last smoke November 13, 2011 so a bit over 8 years. That was the day I bought my normal 2 cartons of the least expensive smokes our local smoke shop offered. I had heard of these new fangled electronic cigarettes and decided it was worth $25.00 to try them out. That little kit consisted of 2 180mAp auto batteries, a charger for them, an atomizer and 5 prefilled cartridges that held at most 5 or 6 drops of e-liquid. I never did smoke any of those smokes. :D

Like others, I have gone through lots of different types of batteries and toppers but thanks to a very special person gifting me a Dragon Provari a few years ago that is all I use now. I finally discovered what everyone was talking about once I used one. I have since added a few more since I like to rotate through various flavors so needed extras. They are all I use now topped with gs-air toppers. For me this combo provides the perfect vape.

I smoked for at least 45 years and thought I would go to my grave as a smoker. I actually owe a LOT of my success to this forum and all the wonderful folks here ready and willing to help us to be a success story. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all of y'all
