About 1.5 years. Little by little each month.

crxess, do you think getting flavorings will be a problem?

Not at all. Almost everything we use is Cooking Based.
There may be some way to regulate the tobacco Flavors, of which there are many variations, however many of those are actually usable in Cooking, Drink flavoring Mixes.(technically)
Nicotine is the only Component of DIY e-liquid I see as controllable at this point.

I've been keenly aware of what is going on and watching the progress of FDA, State, County and City as it pertains to vaping. I bought over 100+ different prepared e-liquids after testing many at vape shops in my first month of vaping and wanted to go in to business as a distributor. That was 2015, and due to significant changes in the industry I can no longer plan on a future job related to vaping. Now my energy is going to preserving my hobby/lifestyle. Today I'm working on a dedicated vaping room for supplies and mixing.

I'll post pictures when I get everything assembled.

POST FROM YESTERDAY IS JUST THE BEGINNING
Going through a very lengthy list of vaping goods. Just accepted a job that starts in January and will be spending $5,000+ US in vape related goods. What am I getting?

- Dedicated mixing storage room for apartment (shelving already in place, awaiting freezer & lighting)
- Commercial, locking, floor, freezer, good down to -15F continuous
- 6 regulated box mods, 6 unregulated box mods, 4 cylindrical mech mods
- target of 5 gallons + of nicotine 100mg/ml, and some PG/VG
- hundreds of my favorite pre made e-liquids...gallons and gallons....
- 20 large packages of cotton (Cotton Bacon and Koh Gen Do)
- hundreds of feet of coil wire in many different awg
- at least 5 to 10 - lab testing kits
- at least 10 mixing and storage bottles
- 10 LG 18650 and 10 26650 batteries

Too much to list for now. Will post pics when I get there...

And thats going to stop me from picking up a box mod at the flea market how exactly? I dont buy my gear at 7-11

Funny how everyone acts like cotton strips and resistance wire were invented by vapors.

And everyone needs to get off the panic bus, raw nic has been available for ages. What do you think was used to invent the stupid things?
So they tax 5 pawns to death, it will just become aromatheripy liquids, and just like soda with caffeine, they will claim nic adds to the flavor or some bs.

if bans were taken seriously here. People on terrorist no fly lists wouldnt be spraying mobs down with automatic weapons being sold over the counter.

Never been, and probably never will go to a flea market. Not my cup of tea.

That was my opinion as well. I wasn't sure why you had stocked up on flavors.

Not Stocking up so much, just building my Lab stock. Every time I find a new recipe it calls for something I don't have
Then there are a bunch of Recipes that call for certain same ingredients, so I have to get them in Bulk sizes:ohmy:
It never ends

I don't think there's an end to needing flavors I don't have.

As a newbie, just curious as to how long many of you have been stockpiling nic, buying tanks and coils, etc.

Things still might work out great for all of us, but this wishful thinking doesn't seem to be shared by many on ECF.

Things are looking bad globally for vapers and I am curious if many folk have been fearing the worst for years or is this a recent trend.

Cheers!

I've been increasingly apprehensive about government intervention/meddling since late 2012. Being older than dirt this ain't my first rodeo, its been my experience that once the government sniffs out a potential revenue source you'd better start figuring something out else your bank account (or life style), will suffer accordingly. When I also came to realize that big pharma (the leading $$$ lobbying group in the U.S.), and big tobacco were -losing profits- due to vaping's success, I knew we were in trouble because money and corporate interests rule this country.

A NET fan, I decided it might be wise to learn how to extract tobacco and make my own, been doing so the last three years. $5 worth of premium tobacco yields enough extract to make several months worth (500ml), of NET. Easy to do and shamefully inexpensive, ECF has a sub forum that contains detailed how-to instructions.

I also researched how to extract nicotine from tobacco but as a result of what I learned decided it much wiser, cheaper and safer to just stockpile lab made 100mg liquid nic instead. I already had a suitable "deep freezer" and learned what else was needed for long term storage, it's easy and inexpensive. Started storing liquid nic a couple of years ago and am still buying a liter or two at a time when it's on sale. I already have way more than I really need but plan to double my current stock at the very last possible moment just for good measure.

Last year (2015), it came to my attention that atomizers and mods manufactured after 2007 might also be affected by the Fed's proposed regs, while I still doubt a total ban I always err on the side of caution so bought plenty of gear for storage.

I'm now FDA proof and exempt from any future draconian state taxes, it provides great peace of mind.

Wouldn't 0MG nic be just VG/PG??

just started a few months ago....made some pretty big investments (end year bonusses spend [emoji38]) , I don't want mechs, so going for higher quality devices. But now I'm set for a long time with:

- 8 liters of 36 mg Nic (I vape at 6mg, will last me 10 years)
- 15 liters of 0mg Nic (I assume this will still be available, but it will keep between now and when it's used, so I thought to be safe and have a little stock just in case)
- 13 Mods (of which 6 are dicodes, 1 Sx Mini M, 1 original Xvostick and 1 Provari Radius) rest are 2 clone xvosticks and 2 heatvape invaders. My GF also has another 6 mods
- 7 Kabuki's (4 original, 3 clones), my GF has another 4.
- 10 goblin mini's (8 original and 2 clones)
- 250 Nauti coils
- several 100 feet of wire and a stack of cotton

sold all my other stuff...sticking to the tanks/RTA's of the same make, they hit my sweet spot and this way I only need 1 type of coils and spares.

I'm all set now, and don't really feel the urge to buy more :D Feels good to be prepared for al eventualities.

I was wondering myself what 0 mg nic is. Lol. I'm sure he meant VG.

Must be around 2 or 3 years now, since we first began thinking about it and hearing the FDA's plans. & I really don't have all that much of a collection, despite my constant planning... because i rarely have work, or a job, to make $$ to buy new RDAs and mods. The mods I have in my collection were VERY HARD for me to obtain... They took hard work and determination, and months of planning.

I don't have much stuff, but i have what it takes to continue vaping into the future. It is very hard for me to see people laughing-off the fact that they are "Mod Addicts" and that they've got 20 mods and 40 RDAs, that's sometimes very hard for me to read, because it's very easy for me to feel jealous, and feel helpless, to the FDA regulations... I sometimes wish that I could just, create an ungoing thread, asking for any RDAs that ECF members would other-wise toss out. You've no idea how many times I've read the words "It didn't wick right" or "I didn't like the airflow" paired with "so I tossed it in the trash" with a stone dropped to my gut... ahaha... that sucks to see.

Just keep collecting. Even if you dont make much money- Even if you dont make any money, usually, like myself - Just keep trying. Just keep trying to collect, and it will slowly, but surely, build up, over time.... I now own over 5 RDAs, and few great working mods that i am genuinely proud of. My Provari, my Reo, my Evic, my Evic Mini, my Subox Mini, my Natural, my Silverbullet- these were all smart purchases, and I continue to use these mods to this day, and they will serve me WELL into the future.

My advice to you, is to just, slowly buy what interests you... Dont buy in bulk, dont go crazy.. Just buy what interests you, as it is released, and over time, you WILL amass a collection of RDAs/tanks and Mods that will serve u well into the future.
bro. .I guess while ur giving great sense/advice that actually works on this..u need to somehow increase ur income too. look far and beyond. do something that's different than what you've been doing for so long. be an agent of change for urself, ur own future.
having said that, I've got only gd intention didn't mean to offend anyone, especially you. vape on bro!

don't worry about offending me my man, I can use some reinforcement. I have health issues that prevent me from working, unfortunately. I have got a LOT to do, medically-wise, in this upcoming year. But yes, I can't wait for the day that I can finally hold a regular JOB! I do NOT have high hopes, all I want, is to be able to care for MYSELF, without a family member caring for me... & as my mother ages, it becomes a more urgent ordeal each year. I have to figure things out. Unfortunately, in 1 years time, my health insurance runs out, and I will be in even WORSE shape than I am today.... Things do not look good for 2017, especially if I am unable to find a good job, with benefits. This all sounds like a lot, i'm sure... Let me just say, that I have a LOT on my plate... But I am used to chaos/troubles without solution or relief, no worries.

That avenue isn't open to everyone, some are semi-retired, on Social Security Disability, or fully retired.

Myself, I'm just getting back to work, but my budget for vape related goods is going to be enormous for 2016...if everything works as planned. Fingers crossed!

hmm sounds like hell a lot is happening on ur side.
the only thing that I can help is to begin with these questions
1. what would you say to a company that records a 100% growth in revenue year on year for
2. what would you think if this company records a USD 1 BILLION in revenue (in 6 years!!)
if you'd like to venture further just PM me man. anytime.

I have 2 liters of nic separated into 125 ml glass bottles in my freezer. A couple of years ago I learned to wrap coils because I got tired of buying dud replacement coils. I have been using just Kayfuns and I managed to pick up some Ehpro ones for 7 dollars each so I have 15 of them in my stash!

I have 3 of them that I have been using for 2 years with no problems so I am set in that department.

I've not 'stocked up' on much. Till lately. I did concede to getting a device that was pretty much a solid working piece. By people stating they had theirs and were still working 3+ years later, I figure that was a good one to have. Four of them in hand and only using 1 daily and the other 3 are for backup purposes.

Bought another device for my liquids that I can wrap my own coils. I have three of those in my small arsenal.

I've been one of those that are hoping things don't go south but when the Deeming went to the OMB, I decided it was time to stash some nic. :(

I don't have much but plan to buy more nic soon. I still hold out hope that if things go as bad as we think they may, it might turn around down the road. We see the FDA and all the 3 letter orgs backpedal on so many things, I have hope that they will do the same for vaping, in time.

I hope I will have enough to survive the wait.
