Out of curiosity, I'd like to know how long the typical ego devices last (life of the device itself), not how long each charge lasts you.

Ego's are considered disposable, meaning they have an expected limited lifetime before their battery no longer can take a charge.

Also, please include how many vaping devices that you typically use along with it, which could contribute to the overall life of the device depending upon how heavy it is used. If different from an ego, what type are they.

Thanks in advance.:vapor:

Out of my first set of 2 900 mah egos, 1 lasted just over 6 months, and the other is still going (3 years later, but haven't used it this whole time due to using other devices). I'm using 2 ego knockoff VV batteries that have been lasting quite a long time as well, as they replaced my normal egos. I tried a twist, and it lasted less than a week due to it rolling off a table and knocking something inside loose. Will kinda work 1 out of every 5 button presses. My own fault though. Might be going back to the ego now that the gripper isn't turning out to be what I thought it would.

Do you mean last between charges or until failure.

1) Each 1000mh lasts me 12-16 hours of moderate to heavy vaping 3-4 ml daily
2) I bought four in early June, they are still all functioning very well.

I use the 2.4ml CC Clearomizer with them, here it is:

I meant how long the devices last until it no longer will work, or fail to take an adequate charge, or no longer to provide an adequate vaping experience.

I realize this is not a scientific type poll question, but my reason asking it is to determine, in the long run:

Is it better to purchase a device

(A) with a relatively limited life (in months) such as an ego device which is cheaper initially, and also cheaper to replace.

or,

(B) a larger-battery tube mod with a much longer expected life (in years; more expensive initially) using rechargable replacable batteries ($6-10 each) expected to last about one year.

Just wondering about everyone's perspective on this topic, but most importantly needing to know the devices' lifespan.

That's a Kanger T2, some Vendors might sell them as CE4+s; which is very, very wrong!

I just bought my Ego-T kit 3 weeks ago, but it's called a Tornado-tank. To be honest, I dont know if its actually made by Joye, and I get the feeling it isnt. But they are 650mah, and usually I will get a 12 hour day out of them before it goes dead, and some times I can go 24 hours with it. But then, there have been a couple times where it seemed to lose battery charge just 3-4 hours after I screwed it on after charging it the night before. I am not a heavy vaper. I vape about 2ml a day, maybe 2.5ml at the absolute most and thats not often.

But because of the occasional short battery life, I have ordered a Joye Ego 18650 mod tube that holds an 18650 inside its larger, fatter tube, but otherwise it's an Ego. I will install at least 2600-3100mah batteries into it, so I should get 4X the battery life I am getting now, and it was only $14.99, but doesnt include the battery. Unlike the standard Tornado-T batteries I have now, the Joye 18650 Ego mod has the ability to be shut off by clicking the button 5 times quickly. That has been an ongoing worry for me as I am afraid to slide it into my pocket because it will turn on and get hot in my pocket!

Two Ego 650 batteries both a little over 22 months old and still working fine. Both used and charged daily (often at least one of them was charged more than once a day) for their first 5 months. Since then they are only used occasionally. Since their first 5 months they've gone on two week vacations with me twice where they've been used and charged daily. Beyond those trips I'd guess they have each been used and charged on average 3 or 4 times a month since they were 5 months old.

Egos are rated to last for about 300 charges. Everyones mileage is going to vary based on a whole lot of factors.

I had mine for about 3 months, 6 all together, and they were still running when I gave them all away, with the exception of 1 that was having issues. When you pressed the button and released it it would continue to fire now and then until it hit that auto cut off, but it didn't do it all the time. The one that was having the issues was the one I spilled juice on (horror movie and rotten kids that like to scare mom) when I was filling the tank so it was a matter of juice getting inside the battery.

One of the factors is that they are rated at 300 complete charges, So when it gets recharged at half charge that only counts as half of a complete charge. They really do last a long time and I have heard of more being broken, dropped and broken, sat on and broken, than I have heard of dying. Most that have died have done so early, on arrival or shortly thereafter. If they last the first month, then they will go the full life, usually. They, most times, get replaced and used as a back-up. This greatly extends their life as well.

Relax, Enjoy!

I just retired one of the batteries purchased in my first kit back in october (650 mah). It got warm a while AFTER I took it off the charger when it was not in use. so I had that one for 11 months. I am debating on the other one from the kit ...I may let it go BEFORE it scares me...11 months is good service. The only other battery I have lost during that time had post problems from the beginning..it was replaced by the vendor.

the very first ego pair i had i sold only after a short period of use, and they were kind of murdered by the buyer so i'm not sure how long they could have lasted. the second pair of ego batts i bought were received in october. i started using bottom feeders in march, and used them about half as much. in may i gave that pair to my parents to try, since the vape output sucked and they didn't seem to hold a decent charge.
i wouldn't use them until they're completely dead. their performance drops by a lot.
oh. i guess i got an ego v2 in march as well. i used it for a couple weeks maybe before it decided to break itself. i had it in a pocket for just a couple minutes and the end with the 510 threading separated itself from the tube, and thus its life ended. the battery was fine, the device failed.
