It may not be necessary to up your nic to 24 mg. I usually ask how many cigs a day and what type. From what I've been taught, a full-flavored cig has about 18 mg of nic. Then I'd ask what your set up is. I have a Smok Z Max which is a heck of a battery along with a Pro tank. That might make a difference.

I was a pack a day smoker. Sense I started vaping I usually smoke just a couple of cigs per day. For a setup I have an EVOD and a generic battery. I believe my coil is 1.8ohmz.

I look forward to the day I find that level ground.

And you will... I know it sounds all new agey and hippy but just listen to your body :)

It's so funny because I did the same thing initially wanting to know how much nicotine in how many puffs and what's too much but as many others have said, that's an artificial standard. We didn't question nic levels in the tobacco we used. We started smoking at the beginning of a cigarette and stopped when it was gone. But many of us have smoked or used dip for a very long time and our bodies are used to telling us when we need more.

True though a PV is the "smoke" that never ends, so you just have to pay attention when you feel like you're good and stop. That's kind of hard when you're having a good time kind of like eating that last couple of bites of pie when your stomach is saying NO MORE lol but I think it will come to you with the nicotine :)

So you started to vape more because others do? :D There's no right/wrong way to vape my friend. If you're quitting tobacco, give your habit what it wants in nicotine - as much as you need at first. If it's not enough, order your juice in 36mg nic if you have to. It's ok to try and vape like you smoke.

Rose. When the heck do you find time to fill all those cartomizers each day? :D Damn. You must be good at it. I hate 'em.
I use the same one for a week or so and just top it off. Kinda like dripping and I just know from the taste when it's time to fill. Leave the carto screwed onto the Provari. No overfilling :) Just like them better than tanks or clearos.

o..m..g.. How long? More like "when don't I vape". I sleep, thats when I don't vape, and I almost brought my "nook" to bed with me 2 nights ago. I jokingly call it my "nook" (pacifier) because it is always in my mouth.
I vape non stop. I guess 5ml or more a day. Lots and lots of vape. I don't know how I'm going to function this summer as I am more
busy in the warmer months and these things are too heavy for my teeth, nor do I have an "auto" ..... yet ......

I really believe that you just have to not think about quitting.. the quitting will take hold when it just happens.

Even when I found myself going to the bathroom with a Vamo in one hand and a VTR in my pocket.. I knew I could do it if I just stopped thinking about it. Quitting just happened when I wasn't paying attention.

I pretty new still, but will chime in with my two cents. When I first made the decision to vape instead of smoke, that's what I did - vape instead of smoke. The first few days I was so terrified that I would have an irresistible craving for a cigarette, that I kept my ego in my hand practically all day, or at least within hand's reach.

Know what? It worked. I kept vaping, and waiting for that urge to come, and it never did. So I continued to vape and relaxed a little, since I knew for sure it was working.

It's been almost two months, and I'm now more comfortable about the whole thing. I was making a quick trip to the convenience store for milk and realized I left my ego on the kitchen table. Panic? Nope. I told myself how many times I had driven to that same store and back, (it's close) without a cigarette. Successful trip, milk bought, no craving.

The more I vape, the more I am relating to myself as a non-smoker now. Keep vaping. It will work for you.

PS I started with 18 mg nicotine and it was just barely okay. I smoked 2 packs a day for a long, long time. I went up to 24 mg. and it is just right for now.

Well said Bramble. When I've had too much vape I get jittery like when I drink too much coffee. I know to stop then.

I think most of us, starting out, worry that we are getting too much nicotine, or at least more than before, when we smoked. If someone is trying to reduce their nicotine dependence, then it's a legitimate concern. But (I know I keep telling everyone this but it blew my mind), after no cigarettes for several weeks and just a few hits off one the other day, I'm convinced that I am now getting FAR less nicotine than I did when I smoked.

And I was terrible too because I smoked as absentmindedly as I vape now... but my all day vape is lower nic so I have much better control over how much I'm getting.

I mean, is it just me, or - how many others used to light a cigarette without even thinking and then go, "OMG why did I even light that, I don't even want it" LOL and because I'm Frugal McTightwad I hated throwing away partial cigarettes because they were so expensive!!

Not to highjack the thread but more to make a point - this was really a thing with me when I smoked LOL

EDIT: Frugal McTightwad is the name of my next band.

I could light ONE, and only ONE, every other day, for ....z and giggles? idk, but they're a waste, nasty tasting, no throat hit and not enough smoke. Really lousy. Still can't believe it. 35 years, 2 packs a day and I'm still freaked that I quit. Oh, and I don't consider myself a cheater or loser if I smoke one a day or every other day, I don't even know why I do it. The vape is so delicious !

Man, I just think the "one or two a day" mentality is dangerous. When I decided to take a shot at quitting I threw away my remaining cigarettes and made a commitment. I was afraid that one or two would turn into 4 or 5.

But, whatever works, of course. We're all different.

I still have 3 left in a pack from five weeks ago, but yeah I spent a week's budget on cigarettes on my starter kit so that I would have to commit to it for at least that long. No money for cigarettes for a week... and by then, I didn't want to buy cigs :)

Hey guys,

I participated in a recent post that was asking members how many ml/day they're vaping. I was surprised to find that I was only vaping a fraction of what the other members were posting. Sense that post I have increased my intake from 0.5ml/day to 1ml/day. I feel like I'm almost constantly vaping (and i really enjoy it) but I'm having a hard time figuring out how other members are vaping 5+ml/day. I can't seem to get through much more than a tank full on my EVOD in a day, and that's with a driven purpose to see how quickly I could get through it. I'm really trying to stop smoking these few cigarettes I can't seem let go of so I'm trying to gauge how much time the average user is blowing clouds.

So...

How often are you vaping and how long are you usually vaping in each session?

The question sounded a little difficult to answer so I though I would start by posting my own estimate...

Over the past two day I have been vaping about every hour and each session lasts 2 or 3 minutes.

There are numerous variables to juice consumption other how often you vape in a day. Higher wattages burn eliquid much faster. I use VV batteries and mod's, and I like to vape anywhere from 6.5-9 watts. I easily go through 10+ ml a day. On the other hand my daughter probably vapes around 4-5 watts and only uses a couple ml a day.

I'm usually vape from 5 to 10 ml, but I also run dual coils on an rda. all day and night as I see fit. Really want to get a kayfun so I don't have to drip all day...

Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk 2

I couldn't say for sure how much I vape but I run dual nano coils on an RDA so it does get kinda heavy at times lol

Amount of juice vaped in a day is highly dependent on your gear and watts vaped at. Currently I vape at 20-50 watts which burns through quite a bit more juice than those that vape at 8 watts. So I go through 13 ml of juice a day, easily. Fortunately I also mix my own juice so cost remains low.
