I'm vaping at 24mg, all day long. I'm not sure how many ml that is -- I suppose I should measure. I know it's a lot, though.

I'd like to step down to 18mg or perhaps do some mixing and just go to 22mg. The trouble is that I don't yet feel securely off of cigarettes. For a long time I was in a pattern of having a cigarette every 3-5 days. I think that's gone or at least fading; I'm not sure how long it's been, but I'm pretty sure it's been more than a week since my last actual cigarette. Probably somewhere in the 7-10 day range. I hope I'm done with the things for good.

I am getting an awful lot of nicotine by chain-vaping 24mg. I'd like to get less, both to get more flavor and to just get less of the drug in my system. I'm worried that the desire for actual cigarettes would kick up again, though. If chain-vaping 24mg is working, I probably shouldn't mess with success until I'm sure that I'll never smoke again.

I'm thinking of doing one of those mixed systems where I mostly vape 18mg but have some 24mg ready to hand in case I feel like I need it. I'm also thinking of getting snus for when I think I need a cigarette.

Any advice?

I think it's probably fine to continue with where you are at if that is what is working for you. For me, I stepped down QUICKLY because the nicotine from vaping was delivering to my system much more efficiantly than smoking ever did. Could have something to do with the fact that I chain vape constantly and I never really chain smoked unless I was in the car for long periods of time.

You may want to have a lower nic level juice that you are using for most of the day, and keep the 24 on hand for when you feel like you need a kick. That's what the boyfriend did, and in two weeks, he stepped completely down to the lower level and stopped needing that extra boost.

It's different for everyone. If chain vaping 24 mg is keeping you off analogs, then by all means, keep doing what's working for you. But it never hurts to try experimenting with different levels to see what works for you. Give your body time. It may surprise you!

Hi

There is no right and wrong about this process. If you want to try it - just do it. If it isn't working and you find yourself chain vaping when you lower the nic, change it back. The best part about vaping is you have the flexibility to suit individual needs. By eliminating smoking you have eliminated the dangers of smoking. You don't need to be under any pressure to chase dropping to zero nicotine, unless you feel a need to do that for personal reasons.

Keep in mind to that you do not actually absorb all that nicotine from vaping, far from it. The average person only absorbs about 1/3 to 1/4 the nicotine out of liquids, it's not a 1 to 1 ratio.

Heh, I'm already chain-vaping at the 24mg level.

I think you two are right. This isn't broken, so I shouldn't try to fix it. I'll step down if and when I feel like I'm overnicotinized.

The high level of nic does add a too-sharp note to some flavors, but we can't have everything.

You'll do fine...you might want to try some WTA liquid from Aroma if you do decide to step down. Alternate that with your 24mg, then buy some regular 18 and alternate it with the WTA. It really helps with the cravings and then you can get used to the lower nic-only juice. I did that and it worked very well. Now I don't use the WTA at all.

Hey...I have some left over still, and I'll bet we live close to each other. If you want to PM me I would be happy to give you what I have left. It's a little old but still tastes good; not sure how long the WTA effect lasts in liquid though.

If I vape 24mg, I feel the urge less often. If I vape at 18, the vaporizer stays in mouth. Buy a bottle or two of 18 with 24mg still around. Give it a shot. Pay attention to how often your urges are. Nobody like to walk around with a vaporizer sticking out of their mouth.

On another note, I like the higher nic first thing in the morning. And, at night while I am making clouds, I vape at 6mg.

Thanks, that's really nice of you, but I already have WTA from Aroma. I alternate that with nic-only. It still doesn't quite kill the craving.

It must be one of the many additives that aren't in plain tobacco. What the bleep do those people put in cigarettes? The things are almost impossible to kick.

This time I am determined. I have one cigarette left, in case of "emergency," and I am not going to smoke it. It will ride around in the bottom of my purse until it falls apart, at which time I will know that am I done with them.

omg yes! when i quit smoking to start vaping i found i was getting the nic fix i needed but something was still missing. it was the buzz i'd get from the first smoke of the day. i'm talkin' an "ooh, i gotta sit down" type of buzz that i kinda liked. so i kept vaping but was all ":censored:! why ain't i gettin' da sweet sweet buzz?" so shortly after i became a member here i started a thread asking that very question and people pointed out that much of that nic rush had more to do with the carbon monoxide decreasing the flow of oxygen to the brain than just the nicotine. having that bit of reality explained to me actually helped me miss the buzz a whole lot less. and it made me realize there's a reason big tobacco pumps so many additives into their products. and that's to intensify the product and keep you coming back for more.

keeping all that in mind has helped me not go back to tobacco. along with the vaping of course.
