Hi there,

Does anyone have any experience with bauway attys how long should they last?
Been using one i got from Electrovapors (evcustom 510) at first the vapor was great now it seems lacking.
What is the best way to clean it?. or is it just on its way out? kinda makes a crackling sound is this normal ?
is there something i could have done wrong?
I think it should of lasted longer then this but i have been using pretty much non stop

any advice? or some threads i could read through

as always any advice is greatly appreated

Atty's can be fickle things. I blow mine out and that is about all the maintenance I do. Some last 3-5 weeks some last 2+months. I know when I was just getting into this I could kill a Cisco and other atty's in under three days. This was user error since I chain vaped them to death. I have found that if you let the little buggers run a little on the cool side they last much longer. I will also wait to drip on an atty so that the coil isn't smoking hot.

I saw this link about cleaning an atty earlier today and seems like a damn good idea.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-maintenance/177570-novel-way-clean-atty.html

I went to CVS about 10 min ago to but the supplies that are needed but they didn't have them. Lame!

All I do for cleaning is a isopropyl alcohol soak a flush with a syringe and air dry. Real quick easy cheap. Then use. The atty's I have in rotation are all pushing 3 months old and still going strong.

ok now it is producing almost no vapor..

any ideas?

Crackling and then no vapor is not a good sign. I've had a number of atties that have a crackling period of fantastic vaping and then...nothing. The only way to know for sure is to test it with a multimeter to see if there is proper resistance 1.5-3 ohms depending on what you are using. Otherwise, try blowing it out or cleaning to see if that helps. It doesn't sound like it has shorted, but avoid putting it on another battery just in case.

I typically get a month out of an LR and longer out of a regular with nothing but an occasional blow out. As others have said, though, a few days is not unheard of either.

If you happen to have one of the long rubber sleeves from a carto, push it up over the threads and on the atty about 1/4 in. Drip in a few drops of alcohol and pump the bottom of the sleeve to slush the alcohol up and down in the atty. Repeat, blow out, vape. H2O2 works well also.

I use Joye attys and so far I'm happy with their longevity.

I have tried most of the cleaning tip mention and nothing seems to help, the noise has been there since i got it but the vapour production was great so i didnt think anything about it , the other one i have that i got at the same time isnt doing anything the same and still vapes great.

also forgot to mention (i think) there is a horrible taste as well.....

How do i check for the ohms, i do have a volt meter here

The crackling makes me think it's too dry. I also like to drill out the two air holes close to th threads to about 1/16" to get better air. If it's cracking it's not dead. When you blow it out blow from top down then plug the big center hole and blow again. To clear the air holes.
