What is a reasonable time to expect your batteries to last before you have to replace them? I have both XL and regular manuals. I'm pretty new so any that have crapped out have been replaced no questions asked, just want to know what I should expect. If there happens to be a sale on all items before the end of the year I'll probably order a few more. Thanks for the latest sale on juice and carts - I feel like I have enough carts to last a lifetime - know it's not true but for a newbie it's quite a stock pile:)

Each battery should last 200 hundred charges. So it depends on how often you charge. If you charge a battery every day then,,200 charges = 6 months and 20 days..most people use at least 2 batts at a time..so a bit longer. If you charge the same batt 2 times a day 3 months and 10 days. This is not written in stone! Like everything else in life you have varibles, I have a battery I got a year ago, still going strong! I have lost 3 due to natual wear and tear. 2 died right after I got them (replaced)

Thanks Mary Kay I have noticed on the forum you seem to be one with a lot of knowledge. I do work to rotate my batteries 2 XL and 2 regular so they each get charged at least every other day. I'm still probably spending too much time vaping but enjoying it. Question - do you let your batteries drain until they blink each time and then do you charge fully until the light is green? Just want to make sure I'm taking care of my investment.

I have 6 manual XL's from V4L...4 are 12 month's old and ready to be replaced and the other 2 will more then likely replace next month. The first 4 began to lose their power about a month ago. I use them in rotation and keep them clean at all times...sure do wish V4L would come out with a battery in the 900 mla range...they are awesome!!!

I have always waited until the blinking starts before refilling..EXCEPT when I need to go somewhere and want be stylin' with my favorite batts and matching cartos...lol Then I will recharge early. Gotta look good!
I have been around a while on this board, I mod the Women's Room (Come down and check us out!) and I am a chatty Cathy (that's an old time talking doll for those kids out there). But my knowledge is what I have learned by trial and error or picked up from one of the truly knowledgable here on ECF or V4L. Thanks anyway!

This sounds about right with what I've read, 200 charges, number of months depends (4-6 for me. Maybe longer for XL's since I charge then less). So I guess stocking up a few extra batts is OK as long as you just store them, Iowa Gal, probably something I should do too!!

I need to get a big tool box on wheels just for V4L supplies ...

Yeah, get that on the evening news and we'll have all sorts of interesting PR!
Of course, I say this while looking at my assorted Tupperware, neatly stacked in columns and overflowing with vape gear. Woe is me.

And Mary Kay, you were one of my favorite teachers when I started vaping, so I'm not surprised we're in sync!

for what it's worth.........
Been vaping with V4L since Feb 2010, started with a regular auto kit, followed a couple of month's later with a shortie manual kit. Along with those 4 batteries in the original kit's I have purchased 19 batteries in all varieties and all the extra goodies that you just HAVE to buy! Of course I won't even even mention how many carto's and juice! I generally rotate 4 xl man's per day, also use the car adapter and passthrough routinely. I've had two DOA's (replaced) Wall charger (DOA) replaced. Two or three batteries died very early and they were both replaced. I do refill and I do clean batteries routinely. My two original manual regular batteries still work! They are also the perfect draw for me! My favorite at this time is the manual xl's, car adapter and pass through. I have five auto's in short and regular that are just too airy (Yes, I've tried covering hole's) I have three manual xl's unused (hoarding :) I have two recently ordered (in the last two month's) that the switch/led stay's on.......haven't spoke to customer service or ordered since then. I am sure they will replace those. I guess I am rambling here and haven't really said anything other than V4L is a great company to order from and does stand behind their product's. I have felt the growing pain's in the quality of the batteries over the last year. Maybe due to different manufacturer's.......hopefully all that will right it's self in the coming year! I will continue to order from them as I enjoy their product! Dee

Dee, I am no expert, but saving batts is not the best idea..they have passive drain. At least charge them from time to time to keep a charge in them.

I don't know if anyone can figure out the rate of passive drain, it would be good to know. The experts say these batteries are best when stored with at least a 40% charge. So if we knew how long it took to get from 100% to 40% we could sorta hoard :p
